I pulled into my local Wal-Mart parking lot about 1 hour ago that sits next to I-30 and visually saw 4 Mexican caravans just pulling in what I like to call them Mexican caravans heading South. I used to see them nearly daily on I -30 but since the deportations picked up have not seen to many any more till today. What a Mexican caravan is a group of damaged/totaled but mostly towable at least drivable mid sized vehicles all connected to a larger vehicle that gets towed to the Border and fixed up\patched up to sell to border crossers needing rides North. I made it a point to try and speak to a couple guys going into Wal Mart and 1 guy spoke no English the other a little bit and I asked them where they were heading and this dude said Corpus Christi. The one dude that spoke a little English didn't have much to say...Each Mexican caravan had two dudes in the lead caravan vehicles with several signs and temp tail lights all held together with duct tape to the cars and trucks saying in tow. Maybe busienss is picking back up?
Patsy Cline version.
And now as they wander, their thoughts ever stray
South of the border, down Mexico way.

Did you get a picture?
They stay off the interstate. I see them often on Highway 173, Hwy. 16, Highway 83 all heading south.
Thanks.
Patsy remains a Treasure.
Four years ago in October my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary with a road trip on I-70 in mid-Missouri. We were heading East. In the westbound lanes there were charter buses in both directions as far as the eye could see. When we stopped at a truck stop dozens of charter buses were stopped as well. Full of illegals being shuttled throughout the country like a metastatic cancer.
Hopefully lots of them are now heading in the other direction.
One recent raid shows they do have fear over alligator alcatraz
No maybe I should have but they were not lingering around long.
They tend to look for high mileage vehicles or damaged to tow back and always pays cash.
Before Trump cracked down on the illegals you would see them daily, sometimes 2-3 groups of them in a day I was shocked to see them in broad daylight.
It’s perfectly legal to buy an auction car and ship it down south of the border if you are carrying credentials. Totally legal.
Pull the drive shaft and tow.
They have done it for years. Saw it all the time on 35.
An aside: What goes in to Mexico rarely comes back.....
I tried looking, but all I saw was throngs of people.
Slide: Happy Gilmore II sucks eggs.
have travelled Dallas to Waco for years witnessing this practice
have often wondered about points of origin and the logistics and economics
how far north to purchase and still make the trip possible?
I was hoping to read an expose in Texas Monthly or some such...
Understand what you are saying but some years ago I I got noisy with a group at this gas station that were pulling them South and this dude told me they sold them to illegals so they could head North.
was hoping to read an expose in Texas Monthly

Shirley, you jest.
Been walking long?
They will tow them things to Patagonia if they can.
They sell those vehicles south of the border. They do not want to take cash across the border because either the Mexican police will take some or the cartels or both.
So they take vehicles and, if you look inside of them, loads of stuff, household goods, stuff you can’t get in Mexico, to sell later.
Was Chrissy Van Hollen’s son, Abrego, one of the traffickers driving?
