Indian Americans born in the US are displaying a marked increase in cultural and identity-based affinity with their Indian heritage, with 86% taking pride in calling themselves "Indian-American", according to a new report by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
This is a significant increase from the 2020 report, when 70% of US-born Indian American respondents said that being Indian was "very" or "somewhat" important to them. At the same time, the percentage of those who considered their Indian identity unimportant was halved – from 30% to just 15%, according to the report.

Not only "college graduates" but doctors: My PCP, cardiologist, dermatologist, kidney specialist, and vascular specialist are all Indian. Only my eye doctor and podiatrist are non-Indian.
That's why Indians have high incomes here.
Maybe they can be hired to replace the ones on help desks...should have less of an accent.....
I don't doubt that's true. But I look at the single-parent factor possibly diluting the American household average, especially with the high single-mom household numbers among blacks vs the almost always married Indian households. If you compare Indian household incomes only to married American households, it's $123,700 for Indian household (according to FReeper Liz) compared to $146,000 for married American households.
Why is it a surprise that 80% Indian Americans vote Democrat after reading posts such as yours on Republican sites such as this? Democrat sites have very few hateful posts. You reap what you sow still works.

The undermining of healthy assimilation in favor of balkanization and grievance group politics is just another of the fine gifts the left has given this country.

‘Odd’, as I’ve seen NOTHING from the (R)N(C) bucking that system (Pres. Trump only partially dealing w/ illegals...Not even proposing CLOSING the borders for decades ala < 1960)
“Speck of sawdust...” & all, eh??
Are Indian Americans the same as American Indians?
Good question. Headline and article spelled our native born Indians to me. Finally figured this has nothing to do with them.
Democrat sites have very few hateful posts.

You’re either out of your mind, drunk, high, or a DU plant who should go back there.
Good catch.
***a marked increase in cultural and identity-based affinity***
I remember reading about this over 60 years ago.
The immigrants who come to America try to integrate in by learning English and forgetting old customs.
Their children are raised as Americans.
Their grand children are raised also as Americans.
The Great- grand children try to return to the old ways of the original Great-Grand parent immigrants.

Well, I’ll be darned———ya learn something new everyday. Nice.
This is all the invaders have done since the 1965 Caucasian Suicide Pact was signed. From assimilation to division. Every ethnicity for themselves. And in the tech world, Indian managers routinely follow this, hiring only other Indians until the place is filled with them.
So much for that mythical melting pot.
Compared to the Irish or Italians, the Indians in America are trivial.
Remember, AI = affordable Indians
Trump’s big, beautiful wall needs to start at our airports, to keep H1B/OPT out.
What caste are Americans, when it comes to Tech hiring?
I am sure you can link a couple of hateful posts on Democrat sites against INDIAN Americans.
Subject is Indian American hate. Can you link one such post from a Democrat site? Of course democrats hate lots of stuff. That is why I have voted republican in every election since Nixon in 1970.
