Queen Victoria and John Brown were lovers, according to Channel 4, which says it has uncovered 'extraordinary' new evidence of the monarch's secret affair.
The British monarch of 63 years, from 1837 to 1901, was widely known to have been extremely fond of her Scottish servant.
But revelations about long-held rumours they were more than just fast friends are now set to come out in a new documentary, due for release on July 31.

It’s all circumstantial. She is not here to defend herself. I’d hate for people to speculating about what she would have described as sinful sexual behavior after I died. Let alone making it canon.

Here’s my problem....They mentioned finding his ring and a photo of him in her casket....but they left out what else was in there....related to Albert. And who attested that the ring was his mothers? I’m a real sceptic. sorry......Authors seem to think half truths are enough.

Who cares An interest in history is both healthy and wise. Most people with an active mind care a great deal.

I was intrigued to discover that Queen Victoria had her own Rose Engine, and enjoyed making pretty things with it. The photo is similar to hers:

Queen Elizabeth I was a great one. Cate Blanchett’s rendition was really good.

At first I thought they were talking about the abolitionist.

Whether they were lovers or not, matters not IMO.
But I do love these photos:

Nothing new here,
Queen Victoria loved sex, had 9 children with her husband in rapid succession.
When Prince Albert died so early, she was bound to start having sex with someone.
John Brown was a lusty Scottish lad who preceeded to seduce her and regularly gave her the business mostly out at her castle in Scotland.

Kaiser Wilhelm II was Queen Victoria’s grandson. a son to her daughter Victoria, who married Kaiser Wilhelm I,
Wilhelm II didn't like his mother and had her locked up in her room from time to time.

The Empress and the Gillie? This is too much like "Lady Chatterley's Lover."
My money was always on the wily Munshi. Kama Sutra and all that:

It's rumored that Victoria was illegitimate herself and therefore not the rightful queen. The hemophilia gene was said to come into her family through her mother's lover.

Victoria (Queen V's daughter) was married to Friedrich, Wilhelm I's son. Friedrich and Viktoria were liberals (in the original, good sense of the word) and, had Friedrich had a long reign as Kaiser, probably would have made late 19th & early 20th C German history far happier than it was. Sadly, Friedrich was very sick with throat cancer by the time he ascended the throne, and only reigned for about three months before he succumbed.
Unfortunately, Wilhelm II was ... unprepared, and also a bit of a nut.
