The wife of Lufthansa airline’s billionaire CEO fatally ran down a babysitter while on vacation in Sardinia — then flew home to Germany while under investigation for vehicular homicide, according to reports.
Vivian Alexandra Spohr, 51 — the wife of CEO Carsten Spohr — was behind the wheel of a BMW X5 on Tuesday afternoon when she struck Gaia Costa, 24, on a pedestrian crosswalk in the upscale Italian resort town of Porto Cervo, according to Corriere News.
Spohr allegedly continued driving until onlookers waved her down...
Spohr was formally identified as being under investigation for involuntary manslaughter — but the mom of two had already flown home to Berlin, Germany, according to the reports.
The CEO’s wife tested negative for alcohol or drugs, according to the reports, which said investigators are analyzing surveillance footage and Spohr’s phone records to see if she was distracted at the time.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Not guilty.
Big legged woman ain’t got no soul.
Ran down the babysitter.
Flew home.
Feels regret.
Things are just different for the very rich.
She meant to do that, it seems.
This storyline sounds vaguely familiar......................
Dang SUVs!
Classic German beauty. High IQ, good genes. Reminds me of Bo Derek.
A “pedestrian crosswalk” not at an intersection, as is the case here, is a recipe for people getting mowed down.
You just don’t expect it.
When I went to California on business about 30 years ago I was driving just after dark on an unfamiliar road and all of a sudden there was a person standing in the middle of the road right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and the ABS kicked in and stopped the car about five feet from him. I had never encountered a crosswalk without an intersection in any place I had ever lived, and I just didn’t expect it.
Thank God for anti-lock brakes.
Yep!.......................
Not her babysitter. Just a poor young woman who was on her way to a babysitting job.
It's a perspective artifact of using a wide-angle lens close to the subjects.
Sneaky husband and babysitter plus angry wife?
Where in the story do you get the idea that she has a high IQ.
Unless being a horrible driver is characteristic of high IQ.
I’d add one more thing to your list:
Writes big check to make everything go away.
Correct.
At all.
I wouldn't have been allowed to go anywhere. But I'm a nobody.
Husband and babysitter likely another story...
