The charade is over, but what does it mean?
Another piece of the jigsaw puzzle has been made public in the decades-long drip, drip, drip of information regarding the JFK assassination. Newly released documents reveal — as was long suspected — that a CIA operative was tailing Lee Harvey Oswald. This comes despite multiple denials that anyone from the nation’s chief intelligence agency had been lurking around the 23-year-old who has held the title of lone assassin since John F. Kennedy’s murder in Dallas, TX, on Nov. 22, 1963.
One document from the 40 released on July 4 detailed surveillance of Oswald by CIA operative George Joannides operating under the alias “Howard Gebler.” In the memo dated Jan. 17, 1963, Joannides was instructed to obtain a false Virginia driver’s license under the “Gebler” name. Additionally, his cover would include representing himself as an “attorney” who lives in Northwest DC and wears glasses.
“Gebler” was assigned to infiltrate (and some say fund) student-led anti-Castro organizations, such as the Directorio Revolucionario Estudiantil, more commonly known as DRE. This permitted Joannides, aka Gebler, to come into contact with Oswald, who self-identified as a pro-Castro Marxist. In fact, a camera recording of a street fight in New Orleans between the DRE and Oswald, who was handing out Fair Play for Cuba pamphlets, was unearthed later.
Despite all this activity, the Central Intelligence Agency repeatedly denied any involvement with the DRE or Oswald. JFK assassination expert Jefferson Morley was quoted in Axios, saying, “The cover story for Joannides is officially dead,” adding, “This is a big deal. The CIA is changing its tune on Lee Harvey Oswald.”
To make matters worse, Joannides played a part “in deceiving the House Select Committee on Assassinations” and hiding “that he was involved with DRE...

Here We GO!
Oswald was innocent!
There’s only one thing we don’t know. Did Oswald kill on behalf of the CIA or the KGB.
I think he was a patsy, just as he said. It makes no sense that after the shooting his egress plan was to walk across town to his house, get a 38, and go to the movie theater. It’s pretty obvious he was left out there to swing in the wind. Then he made the statement he was a Patsy, and in jail, tried to call someone in North Carolina. And of course, that number led to a dead end. He was left out in the cold.

Maybe he was part of an actual CIA hit team and the plan all along was to let him take the fall. Or maybe they told him he was there on some kind of mission to prevent an assassination. He was a young kid, had intelligence connections, and it’s pretty obvious DC wanted Kennedy gone.
I don’t think he was KGB. He was sent to Russia as part of a program to fake defectors. The Russians did not find him credible, and he wound up living in Minsk with a woman, working a dead end job. When it was obvious the Russians didn’t take the bait, the US government paid for him to return home where he faced no consequences.
Probably just a coincidence.
His body language in the video of him saying he was a patsy says it all. He knows he's been set up, thus the use of the termy "patsy." He is angry, but not worried, because he knows he can prove where he was when it happened.
Then they killed him.
I am reminiscing about how weird it was to watch “Three Days of the Condor” back in the late 1970s and thinking, “Oh what an exotic plotline. OUR OWN CIA involved in this treasonous wetwork and other stuff. Wooooooooooooooooo.” LOL.
That’s one of my favorite movies. I watch it over every few years. Another one that I watch every few years is Deliverance. That movie holds up well more than fifty years later.
He owned a .38 Special, yet they found a .380 cartridge at the scene. Odd.
Oswald was a former Marine
He had a security clearance of some lower level
He spoke Russian
He lived in Russia for many months
He married a Commie cutie
He brings her back to the states
He takes a bus the Cuban Embassy in Mexico City
Is there anyone naive enough to think that the CIA and KGB were not watching this nut case?
Shell casing,not cartridge.
Wow, Suddenly, Carroll Jarnagin (Dallas attorney and friend of Ruby) looks like he was telling at least some truth during his FBI interview. He also claimed he overheard Ruby talking to Oswald about killing Gov. John Connally because JC wouldn’t play ball with the Mafia and was after them. (who was destitute and had already missed a shot at a retired military General).
Carroll would let me fish his bass ponds around ‘73. He would tell crazy stories about the FBI. He was always drunk and wore an ankle length black duster outside in hot weather. His house was right up against Rose Hill Cemetary, where Oswald was/is buried.
We don’t know where Oswald was headed when he was stopped by Officer Tippit. But he panicked then and killed Tippit with his .38. He then headed through a business district where people noticed him and saw him flee into the theater. They directed police into the theater where Oswald attempted to shoot them as well.
Some patsy.
Oswald was a freaking nut case who didn’t think things trough. He operated on impulse like the majority of criminals do.
The CIA “connection” was a CIA anti-Castro operative who ran into Oswald as Oswald was distributing pro-Cstro material. That is the sum of the “connection” and it did not include evidence the CIA was using/controllng Oswald.
Now find the CIA connection to that puke in Butler, PA.
(He still killed a police officer in his panic to get out of town.)
No he didn’t. Jack Ruby and roommate Larry Crafard killed Tippit. Crafard had a resemblance to Oswald.
Listen to this eyewitness. She describes Ruby outright.

Which makes some sense if he wasn’t the shooter, but realized he’d been set up.
True. If he wasn’t the shooter and realized he was being framed for it... he might have easily thought the “cop” was someone who was supposed to kill him. And I also wonder about that movie theater, if that was a place he was supposed to meet someone.
But most of all, if he was the shooter, why didn’t he take his 38 to the book depository rather than having to run get it afterwards? Seems like he had no idea he was about to be on the run.
