RFK Jr. Says Trump Admin Going to Encourage All Americans to Use Wearables
The Epoch Times ^ | 06/25/2025 | Zachary Stieber

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will soon start a massive advertising blitz to encourage uptake of wearables such as fitness trackers among Americans, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said on June 24.

“We’re about to launch one of the biggest advertising campaigns in HHS history to encourage Americans to use wearables,” Kennedy said on Capitol Hill in Washington during a congressional hearing.

Rep. Troy Balderson (R-Ohio) spoke positively about what he described as innovative wellness tools and asked Kennedy to describe how the government is promoting access to such tools.

I would be uncomfortable with that level of involvement. Different strokes for different folks. I’m glad you have something that works for you, wouldn’t take one for free.

Maybe all that self involvement is why the birthrate is dropping.

Same crappola about putting laptops into the hands of every school kiddie. Gimme a F@#$%in break! Said laptops were crappola. Why? ‘Cause the ones pushing them mandated that the contracts go to their masters in the CCP — and China makes crappola.

Like with solar farms like Solyndra, another scam.

I don’t believe reading books or listening to Government is going to result in better health for anyone. There are real issues: carbohydrate pushers, ingredients that are bad for health, added sugars. The standards for food companies should be improved. Those are hidden health hazards that are hard to avoid. Statins are very dangerous drugs prescribed like candy. Recent studies have found they do not improve health and cause many serious health issue. Listening to “the authorities” who pushed these drugs on wide swaths of Americans did a great deal of harm.

IMO the vaccinations being administered routinely are related to profit motive, have not been adequately studied for health effects, do not give protection or have a terrible ratio of protection to side effects. Non-live vaccines increase susceptibility to other disease. This is an area that is crying out for scientific studies. Children’s immune systems are being suppressed.

Take care of these big issues first. Go back to basics and reproducible research on recommended drugs and procedures. The medical & drug industries have been overrun by people pushing profit rather than science or healthcare. These people are only interested in selling not in the efficacy or repercussions of what they sell. This is what Kennedy should be addressing.

The welfare system that rewards people vegetating rather than working, having kids to get a larger apartment of more $ causes much more ill health and chronic illness that can be fixed with a “wearable”.

I don’t need a wearable to tell me I’m out of shape and need to lose 20 lbs. 🙄

I wear a Garmin with GPS, though the GPS is only initiated while I'm running.

It does collect data about my pulse, heart rate, steps, calorie usage, and other things.

As far as I know, Garmin does not share this data, but if it did so without revealing my identity, I think I would be okay with that.

The information is useful to me.

That’s a life saving device.

COMPLETELY different than voluntarily connecting oneself to the “collective” for outside monitoring by busybody government and corporate entities, whose motives are highly suspect.

Goverment; “You should...”
Me; “NO!”

It helps motivate me to stay active.

It was really great after I had my hip replaced. I’d slowly increase how much I was walking, but I increased it pretty much every day.

Now my other hip is going out. I either use a rowing machine or bike for exercise instead of walking, and the Fitbit lets me know if I’m getting my heart rate up enough.

I wear it instead of a watch.

I will say, it notifies me if I get a text, email, or phone call. That’s useful at home too because I can see if I need to respond quickly or not. My phone may be on a different floor or I may be in the middle of cooking.

The wireless technology— available in say an Apple Watch (with ekg, etc in the software linked to Apple I phone)—
is the same afa the tracking mechanisms, as one of the familiar “ankle bracelets” sentenced by judges to perpetrators released to home probation.

This is some unreal crap dreamed up by ex Covid morons maybe at HHS or the CDC. It being not enough to analyze the sewage outfall effluent for... Covid virus or anything else, like plague etc. For the “greater good”. At least the effluent is not tracked to an individual.

This tracker crap is Orwellian, frankly. And pretty flimsy justification to fund an ad campaign that should fall on its face.

Same where I live in the deep south. But also, go to Cracker Barrel after church and you’ll see mostly fatass white folks loading up on Cokes, mac and cheese, and biscuits. Voluntary obesity and lack of self control piss me off. Aside from certain diseases that are arguably preventable, being fat and unhealthy is a choice all kinds of people make every day.

Still don’t want my government tracking it through Fitbits, Galaxy Watches, Apple watches, etc, though.

Very true about church people. I don’t want to hear them degrade me if a take a shot or two while the are committing gluttony at Golden Corral
