On my (semi) frequent trips between Boston and NYC when I'm driving home I always drive up I-684 to I-84 and then head east through Connecticut and into Massachusetts. In Waterbury,Connecticut...a dying city which had its heyday about 150 years ago...there's a huge mosque on a hill that's plainly viable from I-84. It's almost as if it was intentionally placed there just to annoy civilized people who might be driving by.
It turns my stomach every time I see it.

This was one of the proposals to replace the old (yucky) flag.
IIRC it is the North Star and the stripes were the sky, snow, and forests.
