Just days before his expected Senate confirmation, billionaire tech entrepreneur Jared Isaacman—closely aligned with Elon Musk’s SpaceX—has been withdrawn as President Donald Trump’s nominee for NASA administrator. The announcement came on the same day Musk stepped down from the government’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and follows renewed scrutiny of Isaacman’s past political donations to Democratic candidates. A new nominee for NASA administrator will be announced soon, according to Trump, who said he will prioritize someone who is “mission aligned” and can put America “first in space.”

Not me.
Evidence of this is where? It is ok to just take a moment and pull it from out your arse...
Trump-Musk love fest over. Musk throws fits. Very sad. I quit X today. Nothing but crap on there anyway. This is the ONLY site I like. Thanks, JimRob, you’re the best.
You’d rather be a wage slave to pay off the ever expanding debt...
Good slave. Nice slave. Back to work slave....
Yep, good call.
Take a look around this country, the personal wealth is almost unbelievable, the standard of living quite high. The government will slow spending when they have to, that's how government works. WHY, because we live in a free country and people vote for who they want to represent them. If spending cuts won elections we would have no debt.
Musk throws fits? Have you heard Trump talk about people he doesn’t like?
Musk points out... “Um... what about all of those CUTS this bill was supposed to codify? This bill actually INCREASES the unsustainable debt.”
Trump... “Musk is a bad person. No matter what I spent the last few months saying...”
He wants more Indians to come and take Amerocans IT jobs. And that is just for a stary.
$36T and climbing... Trumps talk about resolving the debt are proven to be LIES with this bill... His own words... Not Elon’s...
I said back to work slave... keep paying your taxes to pay off that debt...
Do you know the difference in a reconciliation bill versus a recission bill?
First, the BBB is an authorization bill, not an appropriation bill. You will have to digest that to understand the process.
Second, DOGE cuts were being discovered as the bill was being written. Kind of hard to get a bill that everyone agrees with when the target is moving.
Third, the DOGE cuts can come in two future steps of the process. The first are the appropriation bills that have to follow. The second is in future authorization bills, assuming we can keep the house through the mid terms.
The current bill is basically a framework. While it has been abused in the past, particularly by baseline budgeting and continuing resolutions (congress failing to actually create a budget), the goal here is to get the tax cuts, border security, defense authorizations codified now so that will be harder for a future admin to change. The actual dollars spent must be past in an appropriation and can be less than what was authorized.
Now the remaining hard part is the non-discretionary spending. It is reflected in this reconciliation package and will take, by law, a regular bill to fix. So this is all we can get for this bill for now.
Take it. Pass it. Then work on next steps. We need a filibuster proof Senate and a GOP controlled house in 2026.
We will see
I hope Bannpn and Miller now will have his ear.
There are days when I wish the Country was like FR, and then there are days when I am glad its not. LOL.
If given the choice between the two, the vast majority of people would rather their taxes not go up, than to pay down some national debt.
The budget bill comes later. THAT's where the national debt and spending will be addressed.
CBO is saying a $3T increase? Are they lying?
DOGE finds $1.5T to cut... Rumored Bill to codify cuts... $2B...
Sure... pull my other leg. The one with bells on it.
Yep... I even spell it correctly as rescission.
You guys are all acting as if we haven’t seen this every other time the GOP has the upper hand...
Every. Damn. Time. Same exucses too.
We really had a chance to keep the Dems on the sidelines in the mid-terms and the headlines alone from this gives them enough ammo to screw us.
The BBB is a House Bill that is currently in Senate reconcilliation...
The spending bill is rumored to cut $2B. With a B. Not a T.
You count that as a win?
Hey, I am explaining the process. If you want to pull your hair out I cant stop you.
CBO makes projections based on current spending and its crystal ball.
I am saying that this bill is one step in getting a booming economy and CBO is not taking that into account.
I also explained how DOGE cuts get incorporated.
Its up to you to digest that or you can just kick and scream some more.
