The proposal was rejected by DARPA and gain of function research was banned in the US so Anthony Fauci used Eco Health Alliance as a cut out to launder research funds to subcontract the DARPA DEFUSE program in the Wuhan Virology Institute under the supervision of Ralph Baric protege and UNC visiting scholar Shi Zhengli.
Shi Zhengli was collaborator in the original drafting of the DEFUSE proposal and would have been a key player in the DARPA project had it been approved.
So Sachs is correct- Covid-19 originated in an Anthony Fauci sponsored gain of function program planned at University of North Carolina by a team led by UNC Prof Ralph Baric with then visiting scholar and soon to be Wuhan Bat Lady Shi Zhengli as a major contributor and key player in both the drafting of the DEFUSE proposal and performing the gain of function research.
The key bio engineered features of the Covid-19 virus that made it such a killer were all based on foundational research done by Ralph Baric and Shi Zhengli at UNC long beofre teh Covid -19 pandemic began.
Shi Zhengli's Wuhan Lab was basically a chinese copy of Ralph Baric's UNC research lab and was a de facto job shop working in tight coordination with the Baric UNC research program to conduct the illegal, banned in the US physical engineering of the virus while the UNC component of the program did the the torhetical modeling and project planning ( ie- the brain work and project management ) that was still legal to do in the US.
This Fauci scheme to use Ecohealth alliance as a cut out to launder money to fund the offshoring of the banned portions of the DEFUSE EcoHealth/UNC research plan to Shi Zhengli's new Wuhan program was intentionally set up to circumvent the US ban on gain of function research while keeping the rest of the US research team in the loop.
The technology that was transferred to the Wuhan Institute was state of the art , broad based dual use bio warfare program pathogen engineering.
It also included the development of treatments and antidotes to the virus to facilitate their use under the guise of a rapid response to an emerging pandemic threat and one approach was something that resembles the mRNA vaccines we saw put into use.
So basically, Anthony Fauci, Dr Ralph Baric and Dr. Peter Daszak transferred our most state of the art, cutting edge dual use Bio Engineering /Bio Warfare to the Chinese CCP.
In fact , the DEFUSE program was such high level, military grade bio tech that DARPA was interested in funding it independently of the DARPA PREEMPT program solicitation Eco Health Alliance lost. Ironically, this DARPA support was probably abandoned due to the Obama ban on Gain of Function research in the US.
This begs the questions what the heck are we doing educating Chinese nationals like Shi Zhengli in dual use bio warfare tech and why are we setting up cutting edge , state of the art dual use l bio warfare research and production facilities in China.

I remember walking around in an almost daze when I realized Fauci was the highest paid (by Trump I have to admit..not his finest moment) official in our government and his job was to control the pandemic. WHEN HE ACTUALLY HELPED CREATE IT.
I guess still the greatest irony in my 60 years I’ve seen.
