Paul sounds the alarm on debt but fights Trump on tariffs to pay down the debt…

NOW? WHY DIDN’T YOU “SOUND THE ALARM “ when dems were in charge?. Worthless POS. I felt the same way Trey Gowdy. Talk and no action. He is still the same.

He runs in circles waving his hands.
He doesn’t actually solve any problems. And he doesn’t help Trump solve any of the other problems. Rand is 100% focused on the debt. Which he isn’t able to do anything about. He’s not a serious figure.

Cut debt, if we have the votes, by cutting spending on junk like environmental justice. But the debt is less important than the taxes and regulations that are strangling growth.

@RandPaul, Did it ever cross your mind, Sir, that maybe if politicians quit spending so much money, and people who work would have to pay less tax this problem could be solved?

Ross Perot sounded the alarm a third of a century ago.

You shouldn’t be a citizen if you’re not a taxpayer

It’s really bad when you compare interest on the debt to Total Revenues less Social Security and Medicare

The part that I've been screaming about for years is :

More than $107,000 per citizen -- More than $323,000 per taxpayer

Why does less than half the population pay the taxes that are supposed to prevent us from racking up this debt? Flat tax? Fair Tax? I don't care which, but this income tax where only honest hard working middle aged and legally employed people contribute has got to go.

It has been a ridiculous situation for decades. I am glad at least one person in Congress is speaking out.

After 14 Years in the Senate, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

NOTHING! Other than to b bitch and moan and put out your little annual list and like the groundhog, you go back into your hole.

All you have to do is TRUST TRUMP! Simple. Your father was the same type of coo coo bird.

Rand, just STFU and vote for whatever Trump wants.

Taxpayers don’t owe the money.

Just WIPE the debt and be done with it.

When more companies move to the USA, they hire a lot of CITIZENS. Then less unemployment and more taxes come into our Treasury.

Does he really think he is telling everyone something that most informed people don’t already know?

The real political point is not the debt, but what is the political route to getting it down. Is the one immediate bill the only route? I don’t think so.

The political route should AT THIS TIME, within the GOP, (1) how to get the current House bill semi-modified and still get it across the line in that modified form in both houses, with (2) quid-pro-quo demands that it will get the votes now with understanding and assurances, the next fiscal year budget will make deeper cuts and if the GOP leadership reneges on that then the GOP political storm will totally stymie the GOP leadership going forward. Win now and live to fight another day rather than lose the entire thing now, because losing the current Trump 2017 tax cuts WILL cost the GOP House and Senate seats in 2026,and then what will the deficit hawks have - NADA.
