It is amazing how little you can get a very capable PC for.

I go back to the days when, for a couple decades, the machine you really wanted was about $3k.

Interesting site...

first thing that stands out, I think this is great and shows comprehensiveness... looks like one can still build a Win7 system!

(I’m typing this on Win7 desktop)

Not a bad site, but useless for those who want something other than a variation of Windows. 62 varieties of Windows and nothing else. They could have a least done one for Bazzite

Add more storage. It’s dirt cheap and you will need it.

Also check out logicalincrements.com for a bunch of tested combinations at multiple price levels. They make it easy to pick parts that work and fit together.

Not claiming this to necessarily be true, but what I hear from a reliable source is that Windows 11 is not a good way to go. Unfortunately, it is the next Microsoft creation coming down the road as far as I know. I am using Windows 10 & hoping that in the future there may be an even newer Windows version that might meet more universal satisfaction. I’m sure most folks know that Microsoft has managed to create both satisfactory & unsatisfactory versions of their product. Previously, I was well satisfied with Windows 8.

I am not a gamer so the onboard graphics in Intel and Amd are good enough for me and 90% of computer users. The best deal is ebay used Dell OptiPlex desktop or Dell latitude laptop. They are business class and bullet proof. Buy ones that are off lease from corporations. They are still in warranty

One such seller is Regency Technologies -— https://www.ebay.com/str/regencytechnologies?msockid=31ecd9cacef667eb2a84cc22cf7d6608
