Interesting site...
first thing that stands out, I think this is great and shows comprehensiveness... looks like one can still build a Win7 system!
(I’m typing this on Win7 desktop)
Yes, that should be fast. Unless/before Divine judgment devastates the West, which will come, I foresee being able to build your own EV (presuming one of the monthly "battery breakthroughs" actually provides the needed breakthrough) using a compatibility site like https://pcpartpicker.com/list.
Since there is no exhaust system, nor radiator cooling, nor oil lubrication (remove those from your ICE vehicle and see the room you have), then the major large and or heavy components would be the frame, body, suspension, batteries and motors and seats. You would pick the size and frame type, and the EVpartpicker would show which parts are compatible with it, including specs such as torque and hp and "operating system."
The type of body might even be custom built to fit the frame and components.
You would buy these thru the partpicker, and send them to a local contract builder, whom you only have to pay labor for.
As you build it, an insurance company could rate them as concerns safety and repair costs.
These somewhat custom vehicles inspected and licensed according to standards.
These would be modular units, using replacement parts that are available, and more easily replaced.
It seems Jeff Bezos has this idea as well.
I'm a diehard still on Windows 7 too!
