GREECE, N.Y. – A road rage incident in Greece turned violent after two cars collided near the intersection of Hager Road and Dewey Avenue on Sunday.

A silver sedan was backing out of a driveway when it was struck by a blue SUV traveling northbound, according to the Greece Police Department.

The occupants of the blue SUV confronted those in the silver car, leading to a physical fight in the middle of Dewey Avenue.

During the fight, 23-year-old Felicia Freece had her two month old child in the car without a proper child safety seat and the child was reportedly passed between different people, police say.

Police also said that the other suspect, 22-year-old Alyssa Ho grabbed a shotgun from her car. Witnesses say she racked the firearm and pointed it at members of the other group.

Both Ho and Freece fled the scene, but were quickly locates by officers, police said. Here are the charges each of them face:

Alyssa Ho:

Robbery in the first-degree. Menacing in the second-degree. Harassment in the second-degree. Aggravated unlicensed operation in the third-degree.

Felicia Freece:

Endangering the welfare of a child. Disorderly conduct.

Police say the infant was not harmed and is in the care of responsible parties. Police say this investigation is still ongoing.

Mark Gruba of AAA advised drivers to stay calm in such situations. “Stay in the car. Try to avoid that confrontation,” Gruba said. “If you feel like you’re at risk…try to get to a public place, a police station, a hospital, a firehouse somewhere where there might be authority figures around to help diffuse the situation.”

So who was in the blue car & who was in the silver car? Did I miss something?

Ha.

I thought when they reported “the other suspect, 22-year-old Alyssa Ho grabbed a shotgun from her car.” that is was a story from Chicago. Some Ho in a street brawl.

OK ...

Put Ho and Freece in an MMA cage and let them sort things out in an orderly, organized fashion ... on Pay Per View. Let Joey Buttafuoco be the ref.

I used to live in Greece.

From the looks of it, it sure went downhill.

Felicia Freece

From the city of Greece?! What are the odds?

Also, all that's missing is these guys in the background. Would love to hear Ricky's take on this little kerfuffle.

From the mugshots, it’s an Asian woman and a White woman who were arrested.

An equal opportunity brawl.

If I were the Judge, I would say the silver sedan backing out of the driveway had the right of way, and the other vehicle should have just slowed down and waited. They don’t have to like it. It was ‘broad’ daylight, so if they were looking straight ahead, vs at their phones, they could see the sedan nearing the curb.

If I’m gonna give a shotgun to an infant, you had better believe I’m going to make sure he’s restrained!

Just watched the video. The silver car was clearly in the wrong, but the jail time definitely goes to those coming out of the blue car.

I would say the silver sedan backing out of the driveway had the right of way

Doubtful. In Connecticut, it had been technically illicit to back out of a driveway. You are supposed back into the driveway. Many years ago I backed out and made contact with a neighbor across the street who was doin the same simultaneously. The police said we were both wrong, because of the rule about backing into driveways.

Even outside of that, in all states that I know of, anybody entering a roadway from a parking lot or driveway is supposed to yield the right of way to the through traffic on the road. An exception might be made if the road SUV had been speeding (making it impossible to yield properly), but if there are no other infractions, the onus is on the person pulling out into traffic.

Greece, New York used to be a nice place to live, and then...you know what happens to suburbs these days. The animals from the city move to them eventually.
