A unique wrestling show featuring a troupe of little people is drawing big crowds across the country and they made a stop Friday night at the Buzzed Crow Bistro in Colorado Springs.

While the performers say it's all in the name of fun, others strongly disagree.

The group behind the event has been touring the country for over a decade, marketing itself as a form of professional wrestling entertainment.

DJ TooTall, a former wrestler and current team member, told KRDO13 the show is a way to bring joy to people and to showcase their talents.

"We do it so people can come out and relax and have a good time; take their thoughts, depression, or whatever it is, away and put a smile on their face," DJ TooTall said.

They should work rodeo events as well, offering adult/micro “mutton busting”.

I didn’t see anything about these entertainers being forced to perform. Those who disapprove don’t have to participate or even attend. They can just stay home and, well, disapprove.

I remember Midget Wrestling from over 50 years ago. They got rid of it because it was offensive. Probably the first type of Political Correctness that I was personally aware of. And now it’s back?

Yep.

I am not going to celebrate it, I am not going to condemn it, I am going to stay out of it.

And that goes for most things in life, if it is happening in the public streets, I may have an opinion, if it involves people who are underage, I may have an opinion but otherwise, you do you.

Entertainers have to work, they want to work, is being short so different from being beautiful and female, or muscled up, or a Tiny Tim type singer, or a clown, or a stuttering comedian, let entertainers work their circuits and niches.

As far as wrestling, isn’t it always a freak show of masks, giants, midgets, comedy acts and fake rivalries, costumes, theatrics, props, and even bears?

I’m paraphrasing from Time Bandits. One of my all time favorite movies.

MOH recipient John Baker jr, from Moline, IL, was reportedly 5’ 1”. (My wife’s hometown.) Libs made a fuss when the I-280 bridge over the Mississippi River was named in his honor.
