Agreed—out of curiosity I just looked through our spice rack to find country of origin from the spice container labels—no luck at all.

“””””I once bought apple juice from Tim Hortons. I took one swig and I about gagged. I looked at the label and it said product of China.”””””

It probably lacked the Alar that gives it that full bodied, deeper flavor, sort of like tuna without the dolphin.

No more sesame oil fried garlic encrusted tilapia. Dang. What are we going to do?

If you are smart, don’t eat anything from China, especially fish.

You mean that rubbery, tasteless, EXCREMENT SUCKING, mercury laced thing they call fish?

‘Asian’ fish farms are, well, pretty much what you’d expect. If you’ve got a fish that’ll happily gobble up pig (and every other kind of) waste, you’re in business!

Farmed, ‘fresh-water’ fish? NO THANK YOU.

Chinese groceries. Are they as good as Chinese steel? Chinese power tools?

I refuse to eat anything from somewhere where they eat rats, dogs, bats, chicken feet, anything that they can catch. Their fish and seafood farms are cesspools. I recently bought a container of sunflower seeds, I didn’t check the label for it’s origin never thinking we imported sunflower seeds. There are hundreds of acres of sunflowers right here. Next morning I was mixing ingredients for my breakfast and was interested in the nutrition of the sunflower seeds and saw “Product of China”. Damn. Sunflowers seeds? Into the garbage it went.

If it comes from China I don’t want to eat it. The prices of their food products can go up 1000% and I would not be bothered.

If their crap gets too expensive then people will resort to home grown or food from other countries.

Mississippi catfish farmers, Gulf Coast shrimpers and other seafood fishermen will get a reprieve on their financial struggles with these tariffs. I’m sure Louisiana and Alabama fish farmers will also benefit when the tariff’s on the chloramphenicol laced fish and shrimp from China have a nice tariff upon them.

We don’t use a lot of frozen fish, but I always buy the Icelandic product instead of the Chinese fish. It does cost more, but I just can’t bring myself to give my money to the CCP, or trust them on quality.

Yes, a couple of years ago, I checked the label of Motts Apple Juice, it said product of China, haven’t purchased it since.

Chinese-grown garlic is loaded with heavy metals - grow your own. (So easy even a cave man can do it).

Well Chinese steel is a little better than bamboo, and as far as Chinese power tools? There is a chain hardware store where most of the tools are from China. If you want a cheap tool that you can throw away after the job is done, well that’s the place to go. A big problem is that foreign companies like Stihl have factories in China. I know of several guys who bought Stihl chainsaws not knowing where they came from. They lasted about 2 years and the piston and rings were burnt. Should last much longer. I have 2 saws, one is over 12 years, the other about 5. One made here, one in Germany. They both run fine.
