Apple juice? Really?
Wow, how will we survive the great garlic crises?
“Apple juice? Really?”
As in Walmart’s common apple juice is made from concentrate, that comes from China. All grocery stores, the least expensive apple juice (no sugar added) is derived from China.
Who in the world trusts Chinese grocery products? I’ve been reading labels for years and if it says made in China, doesn’t go in the cart.
The United States produces a significant amount of apple juice domestically. According to the latest National Apple Processing Report, the total apple juice production across major apple-growing regions in the U.S. has reached 406,647 tons so far in 2024. Washington state leads the production with 191,042 tons, while the Appalachian district (Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania) has produced 8,040 tons.
Apple juice concentrate prices range from $11.25 to $17.00 per gallon, depending on acidity and quality. If you're interested in more details, you can check out the full report here.
That warming has been out there.
I will not buy anything food from China, including pet food.
Somehow we managed to have prosperity and plenty back when trade with China was 100% prohibited.
garlic has the highest sulphur content of any food. It upsets my stomach so I’m not concerned.
Each day I confirm the law of “conservation of pretend gloom and doom” from our ill educated and quite dorky media.
As far as fear porn goes, if this is the best they can do, I think we’re going to be OK.
Even dog food from China is unreliable.
if it says made in China, doesn’t go in the cart.
Ditto!
Most especially anything that goes in your mouth or in your arm.
David Quintero was given the assignment to do a report on how many products will go up because of tariffs. It looks like he did OK except that he forgot to mention the downside that we have suffered because of the lack of standards in China, the fact that our own industries will be revived, and the Children of China will be less inclined to being Chinese slaves.
Directly or indirectly
We have not bought Chinese goods for years because of the lack of control and if anything is wrong in the order (quality, wrong order, etc.), you have no recourse in correcting it. Also, you have no idea what any product has been dusted with.
I remember we at one point were shipping chicken to China to be processed—and then shipped back to us. Do you know where the apples are grown? (I mean, what’s more American...)
