Who in the world trusts Chinese grocery products? I’ve been reading labels for years and if it says made in China, doesn’t go in the cart.

I seem to recall the USA grows apples and at least used to grow garlic. It can and will happen again.
Somehow we managed to have prosperity and plenty back when trade with China was 100% prohibited.

As far as fear porn goes, if this is the best they can do, I think we’re going to be OK.

Even dog food from China is unreliable.

My bride has regularly watched / read information on suppliers and sources. We haven't bought any comestibles from China in a very long time. In Germany when we were resident there, the national source for foods was noted on small signs in markets, and some here do so. But read the labels, read of the sources. The markets here boast of sources all within 200 miles, and this is a state with farmers.

David Quintero was given the assignment to do a report on how many products will go up because of tariffs. It looks like he did OK except that he forgot to mention the downside that we have suffered because of the lack of standards in China, the fact that our own industries will be revived, and the Children of China will be less inclined to being Chinese slaves.

I saw Pacific salmon in a grocery store a few weeks ago. The price was lower than that for Atlantic salmon, which is always farmed and usually cheaper than wild caught Pacific salmon from Alaska and Canada. However, when I read the packaging, I found that it was a product of China. I would have greater trust in farmed salmon from Norway or Scotland than any salmon from China.

The problem drinking CCP apple juice is an hour later you want another glass.

The vast majority of Americans will buy only three of the ten — spices, apple juices, and garlic.
And if Americans have been paying attention, they would never buy food items from China/Asia.

If you are smart, don’t eat anything from China, especially fish.
