Have you ever heard of a gorilla that could drive a car, make jokes, knew over 1,000 words, and even took care of a pet cat? What if I told you that this gorilla had fascinating things to say about death and even had an answer about what happens after it? But beyond all that… Before he passed away, he had a message that he passed on to the whole world in sign language that you will be amazed and shiver when you hear it…

And now we’re spending billions of dollars to create human looking robots and having ‘conversations’ with them and seeking their ‘advice’. Humans ARE stupid.
Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.
"I have information that will lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton!"
A guy has a talking dog. He brings it to a talent scout. "This dog can speak English," he claims to the unimpressed agent. "Okay, Sport," the guys says to the dog, "what’s on the top of a house?" "Roof!" the dog replies. "Oh, come on..." the talent agent responds. "All dogs go ‘roof’." "No, wait," the guy says. He asks the dog "what does sandpaper feel like?" "Rough!" the dog answers. The talent agent gives a condescending blank stare. He is losing his patience. "No, hang on," the guy says. "This one will amaze you. " He turns and asks the dog: "Who, in your opinion, was the greatest baseball player of all time?" "Ruth!" goes the dog. And the talent scout, having seen enough, boots them out of his office onto the street. And the dog turns to the guy and says "Maybe I shoulda said DiMaggio?"
I watched the beginning and jumped to the end. Coco’s affection for cats was cute.
I find it interesting but a bit of a stretch. I think it’s generally like that in “animal is like man” stories. The investigators have a bias toward the animal. Probably emotion, preconceptions/ideology, and funding precede the conclusion.
Perhaps they’ve established that Gorillas, dolphins, and elephants are the most advanced non-human animals. There is still a giant leap to humanity.
It does make for entertaining fiction to include “Lassie, is Timmy in trouble?” “Thanks for all the fish” and the final words from this video.
RIP Phil Hartman
I’ve heard of a cat who can drive a car. Not very well, though.

Was that Koko the monkey? That chimp was all right! High five!
Of course.
DiMaggio was the better player. :)
Yes,I’ve seen stories of chimps who learned...or seemed to learn...a few words.
Any friend of Robin Williams is a friend of mine.
Our Chihauhaus can understand certain words.
Border Collies can understand more words than any other canine. That is why they are used for Obedience training.
Chimpanzees and gorillas are much smarter than dogs. So, I can believe that they could understand a lot more. They just do not have the vocal ability to sound them out.
So she could have been POTUS 46. Nobody would notice.
“Men are men and women are women. You can’t change that morons!”
Wonder where she got that from.
You’d have to want to believe pretty badly to not notice that her “message” consisted of about twenty different video clips spliced together.
Hilarious movie. I love the ‘exchange student from Cameroon’ bit.
Actually, the correct translation from the original gorilla was “Want two bananas.”
