Nope.
Would be a total waste of his time.
Has too many vital, civilization changing businesses to run.

California’s in trouble. Politicians have let us down. Elon Musk isn’t just a dreamer, he’s a doer. Sign the petition to draft Elon for governor and turn California around. Your voice can change the state and the nation!

I agree. Other than running 6 or 7 major corporations, and other than leading the DOGE effort for President Trump, it seems Musk has become quite a slacker. Time for lazy Musk to start actually doing something with all his spare time. Governor of California!

Musk would be great for California. But four years as governor would be a major hassle and demotion for him.

Seriously, Elon is not ready to be a politician. President Trump learned a lot of things before he became effective. Mr. Musk has not even started on that learning curve - which has much more to do with how hard you can push other politicians than it does abot the possible ends to the pushing.

Elon knows the possible ends, but doesn’t (yet) understand how to leads the cats to water, so to speak.

President Trump seems to have learned both the carrot and stick.

JMHO.

This would be an absolute waste of Musk’s talents. Any number of competent people can effectively govern California if they’re not left-wing idiots.

Theres only 24 hours in a day and Musk already uses 20. Let him be. If California is so desperate that this is the best idea that they can come up with to solve their problems, then California is doomed. Fix your own damn problems.

If you think Musk will accept a 9-05 job, your thinker is overdue for an overhaul.

Elon’s trying to get us to Mars - why would he want to be in charge of a craphole?
