Rand and Bacon should be ashamed.

Bacon beats better GOP candidates. It’s incumbency. Gotta stick with him.
To: Macho MAGA Man
They’re idiots. Rand Paul was the only Republican co-sponsor on the Bill with 9 Democrats. He’s become a big joke.

As soon as the deep state filled his bank accounts.

those Founders ... saying the Congress should set tariffs was meant to be a joke
To: Macho MAGA Man
These people go to bed and pray for Trumps tariff policies to fail. I got a feeling everyone one of em’s gonna get their noses rubbed in something nasty a lot sooner than they could ever imagine.
To: Macho MAGA Man
Trump's tariff policies are NOT about what happens if they're imposed over an extended period.
They are NOT about how much External Revenue the U.S. might bring in.
They are a tool to level the playing field for the U.S. in global trade.
So everybody can put down their calculators and their Econ 101 text books and watch what happens as Trump proves his detractors wrong again.

Congress should have been making all kinds of decisions the last 75 yrs. They left the cash register open and went to bed.

Congress surrendered control of tariffs long ago. If they want to take back control, they’ll need to pass a law with a veto proof majority.

They are a tool to level the playing field for the U.S. in global trade. Absolutely. Specifically, they are a tool to restore trade BALANCE, thus the "reciprocal tariff" formula is directly tied to trade balance.

Trade balance isn’t possible if trading between countries since our gdp and overall economy dwarfs the rest of the world, for now anyway.

That sounds right. But there’s plenty of domestic demand for all the bourbon made in that state.
