Skinny guests have less “dough” to burn at this diabolical diner.
A restaurant in Thailand is being accused of “fat shaming” after offering diners discounts if they can fit their bodies through spaces of varying widths, as detailed in an Instagram post with nearly 8 million views.
According to the clip, the restaurant features multicolored “skinny discount” bars where the rule is that the smaller the gap, the bigger the reduction.
There are five total categories, ranging from 20% off for customers who can fit through the smallest space to a 10% discount for navigating the medium slots, and finally full price for those who can only navigate the largest gap.

Thailand?......................
Where does gap toothed fit in?
What happens if you get stuck trying?
Well I’m a fat falang so would not fit.
Here let me give her a hand.
They bring the table to you.
What’s so “controversial” about this?
Unless it’s a buffet, what’s the point? If it’s a la carte then a fat or skinny person will pay the same amount per plate and if the fat person orders extra as well then the fat person will pay more.
They should have those for lanes on sidewalks in urban areas.
Not guilty!
That would make sense at an all-you-can-eat buffet!
Doesn’t this ‘restaurant’ even want to sell food?
So,then, why are they making people who enjoy eating dread coming anywhere near that restaurant? Why set ready to pay customers up with some potentially embarrassing game?
I’m thinking, somebody did this, thinking a lot of young couples and college kids would visit, have a few drinks and think it was funny, silly and a plus for their visiting experience.
Great way to get the slim girls to eat at their restaurant.
It kind of looks like she’s enjoying that position.
Can you imagine if airlines started something similar?
Not a skinny discount, but a fat surcharge. 300 pounds? 25% increase. 350? 50%.
Over 400 pounds? Book a cargo plane at the nominal rates
Yep, it’s a good gimmick. Lots will show up to see it and try. Revenue will take off — at least for a while.
In the USA, they would be buried in lawsuits and would cost up shop tomorrow morning.
Well then far be it from me to deny her the experience.
