Amtrak's Acela is their fastest train at 150mph, these guys never had a chance.

Pray for their families and the Train’s Engineer.
Suicide is an evil heartless decision. Look what it did to this family.
“Sabrina Gartner, posted about losing her father and two brothers on Facebook, she wrote: ‘Losing the three of you is crazy. Forever loved and will be missed!”
Wow I guess I’m getting old.....my family would never think of mourning through an online post......but as I’ve always heard, people grieve in different ways.
I don’t want to sound disrespectful, but they must have been morons. RIP ,but geezz.
“The father and older son were trying to help the younger son who was having a mental heath breakdown and trying to kill himself.”
My God that is so heartbreaking. We personally know mental health issues and the efforts family will go to save the afflicted.
“Pray for their families and pray for the Engineer of the train.” — Yes, indeed.
I figured either one or all of them were trying to suicide.
The one son was obviously determined to end it all. Most likely, the father and other son thought they would be able to jump out of the way at the last second, but a 150-mph train is going to come upon you faster than you think.
Seems like they ought have drop-down gates (AKA smashboards) at all crossings where 150 mph trains fly by.
150 mph is not something you can react to quickly enough.
People are used to 50 mph trains, but not 150 mph.
There will be more of these accidents until all the 150 mph crossings have gates.
So they were trying to pull him off the tracks and he was resisting?
My late brother in law was a train driver. He told me he had 2 people commit suicide in front of his train. He said he knew another that had 10 people commit suicide in front of him. That guy couldn’t live with it any longer and he too committed suicide.
He said the worst part is he could see the people just sitting next to the track waiting for the train and there’s nothing they can do about it.
I thought they must have been in a car...
They were walking on the tracks ???
Thank you for that. Most people never think of the crew that cannot stop a train while someone is standing between the rails.
No sympathy for stupidity and that’s exactly what this is. There’s no way in hell all 3 needed to die because one wanted to take his own life.
