A new development in the mystery of a purported city beneath Egypt's Giza pyramids could, if proven true, fundamentally reshape our understanding of human history.

Italian researchers told DailyMail.com that not only are the shafts and chambers they found deep below the Khafre pyramid 38,000 years old, but also the Giza complex.

Colonel Howard Vyse explored dynamited his way onto the pyramids' King’s Chamber in 1837, then using red paint and a brush [ in imitation of the ancient Egyptians ] began to make up the chamber to satisfy his financial backers that he had made a major discovery. Vyse is likely the one who painted the cartoosh of Khufu in the top chamber, but since it seems to run under the chamber's ceiling stones, there is no way to verify it. The cartoosh is the only actual evidence that Khufu was the builder. There were some papyri recently found that purport to show the building of the pyramids - but only scraps were found and it will take years and years to finish deciphering the text and more years after that, if ever, until a paper is published on the translation. He like some of the other 19th century treasure hunters used dynamite to explore or remove "useless " stones and pillars in search of treasure.

it was checked on FR, but the checkers seem to have little or weak knowledge about the complex and complied science used. So I would not put a lot of faith in the “checking; best to wait for a peer review before making a judgement.

Whether or not this particular science methods and findings are valid, they did drill 2 holes - one in front of the Sphinx and another by one of the temples nearby or at the Great pyramid and found rose quartz which geologically should not be there [ the plateau is made up of limestone and sandstone - there is no granite there ]. Rose quartz was used to create structural supports. Bothe holes wete sealed without comment.

Hawass’ replacement seems even more close-minded. When they allow modern stone dating techniques to be used - then there will be a change. the only one I know about was on the Pyramid of Menkaure [ supposedly the newest one of the three ] and the single sample was found to be 350 years older then the conventional date. After that all dating had to be done in Egypt - which does not have nor can afford the very expensive equipment to do stone dating [ optically stimulated thermoluminescence ]

These stories keep making it sound like this stuff is “new”. The paper these two guys wrote was from 2022. It was published and it garnered a “yawn” from the academic world.

How these guys can date something without samples or exploration is quite a feat.

I am not saying there isn’t anything down there. I AM saying that the people reporting it have little credibility in the world they are trying to expose.
