I know this is the stuff of science fiction fantasy, but does anyone think there are, or have ever been, any person who was immortal on this earth, Other than Jesus Christ, Enoch or Elijah?
Jesus Christ is a special case, because he really DID die. Buy He raised Himself.
There is a case for Melchizedek being a real man, who has "neither beginning of days nor end of life." It would make sense for God to have a single human presence to establish human continuity through the ages, there being a breakdown in communication and forgetfulness between mortal generations of men.
Just a fun thought experiment. For a topical treatment on this topic, look up the Twilight Zone episode "Long Live Walter Jameson."
I’m 71 and the weight of all the people I have loved and lost weighs on me. At night I’ll see a face or a scene from long ago and tear up. Can you imagine seeing the people you love born, age and die...time after time after time?
We have a purpose here. Live, love, reproduce and die.
Imagine what the world would be like if the George Soros’ and Sadam Husein types lived forever. As far as politicians go, sometimes the best thing they ever do is die. (Having said that, I hope Nancy Pelosi lives forever.)
Sure! They’re on Starz...........Outlanders........
I have read many books that claim Cain is still walking the earth cursed till the end of time.
Do I believe there are/were any Immortals, no
is it possible that there are some people/families with abnormally long lifespans and they have learned to hide this fact, possibly but Musk just inadvertently busted them, or maybe he knew and did it on purpose
I think we’re all eternal in our real selves. We’re just riding around in ‘meat vehicles’ for a while here.
Leos Janacek opera, “The Makropolus case”. About an immortal woman.
The movie ‘The Man from Earth’ explored this topic, it’s a good movie but blasphemous.
LOLOLOL!
My believe is that we have bred out immortality.
Our predinastic history is rich with stories of immortal or extended life figures. As with all traits remissive genes maybe in our DNA and may at any time arise. So I have zero proof but would never be surprised if told it existed.
The “Why Files” on YouTube tells prehistoric alien and conspiracy theories with a sensible debunk at the end. The have discussed this issue I bet you would enjoy both sides of the theory
Well, I'm referring to the immortality of those 'meat vehicles.'
I’ve got O- blood. That’s about as immortal as a man can be.
Does anyone believe in immortal (human) beings?

Yes until one becomes 18
Man was denied access to the garden, because he was not inherently immortal Whatever nutrient the Tree of Life provides, man doesn’t get to live forever without it.
Some scientists are now saying there is no death.
Eternity is such a long time.
But man was created inherently immortal. Death was the interloper.
There is some evidence to suggest that how long lived a species is can be affected by when they first give birth. By putting off gestation by a bit can help lengthen the longetivity.
“long” seemingly only had meaning for those destined to leave time. It may have a completely different quality for those destined to make such a term meaningless.
Are you sure you don’t mean: “Highlander”s?
