I don’t remember which case, but Thomas was actually to the right of Scalia one time.

I hate to think of who could replace him as good as he is.

We sure don’t need any Roberts or Coneheads.

In 20 years, he’ll be about 97.

He deserves a retirement; but I hope he can stay on a little longer.

There have been ongoing complaints here on Free Republic, about all 3 of Trump’s appointees to the Supreme Court. All.of them has been criticized for going liberal on us at one time or another.

The question is, who will Trump appoint to the court, when Thomas or anyone else retires? Will such a judge be a strong enough conservative?

Hope we have someone in the wings....just in case....so we can keep the court at 9.

8 justices can cause ties and the lower court ruling stands.

I have predicted that Thomas would step down next year in June, so that Trump could find a younger Conservative Justice 40ish to put on the Supreme Court before the midterms so that the Dems heads will explode. I’m positive there is a list inside his desk right now.
