Seventy-five percent of the revenue from Fox News’ evening news is from pharmaceutical companies…These pharma ads air during prime-time slots, and despite the decline in legacy media, as recently as April of this year, 1.9 million people watched Fox’s top hosts.
Finding out how much money media outlets make off pharma advertising can be surprisingly difficult. However, in 2021, pharma companies spent $6.88 billion on direct-to-consumer advertising. And they spent (at least) $250 million to tell the public that the COVID-19 vaccine was “safe and effective.”
It certainly helps facilitate deals and positive coverage when the two entities have common interests and interact with one another. For instance, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is a common place for these owners and executives to mingle. Figures such as James Murdoch (son of Fox owner Rupert Murdoch and former CEO of 21st Century Fox), Michael J. Cavanagh (president of Comcast), Michael Froman (president of the CFR and board director of Disney), and Dr. Albert Bourla (chairman and CEO of Pfizer) are all members.
In another example, Joseph Wolk, the chief financial officer at Johnson & Johnson, is a member of the CNBC Global CFO Council, which is designed to help “the modern CFO strengthen relationships with their peers and with CNBC’s world-class business and financial journalists.”
The next step in the predatory cycle is when we follow the directions in the commercials—“ask your doctor if this treatment is right for you.” We trust the doctors to then evaluate our condition and the medicinal offerings and give us their unbiased opinion. Unfortunately, this has not been the case with many doctors for a long time. According to one study, between 2013 and 2022, pharmaceutical companies paid doctors more than $12 billion in various gifts and fees.

No, it’s way more than merely Pfizer. All the big pharma companies do the same thing. More than in any other country pharmaceutical companies TV adverts are ubiquitous, the Big Pharma spending on TV ads is massive, and then they claim their high prices they charge here in the U.S. are necessary for what they have to spend on R&D for developing new drugs, yet they do not charge those high prices in other countries where they do not do as much TV advertizing. But TV advertizing IS A COST OF DOING BUSINESS. They could cut their TV advertizing massively, put the savings into R&D, and quit complaining the high prices they charge us are necessary for their R&D. And who would suffer the most? Us? No. It would be a huge revenue loss to the TV networks; the networks that never investigate Big Pharma.
Yes, I know it’s way more than Pfizer.

Nobody is calling any vaccine that SAVED millions of lives “horrid”.

And relabeling some experimental medical injection that has never been proven to have a track record as a vaccine after conveniently changing the definition of what a vaccine is to disguise what is being done still does not make it a true vaccine.
Additionally considering that it was admitted later that the *vaccine* neither prevented illness nor stopped its spread but weakly claimed that it allegedly helped reduce the severity of the disease, means nothing in light of all the evidence that it didn’t even do that.

They should be treated the same, because the amount of profit to be made allows the manufacturers to out-advertise any adverse events.

There’s no rule/law requiring ten years of testing. Why subject the public to ten years of deaths and illnesses when an effective vaccine was available. The only reason the anti-vaxxers like to beat the ten year drum was to delay the day when the vaccines would be available.

The vaccines are not experimental. The definition change had nothing to do with obtaining approval. That change was a matter of clarification.

No vaccine is 100% effective in preventing illness. The evidence is clear that the vaccines saved lives and reduced hospital stays.
