The withdrawal of all Russian forces from Ukraine would be one of the main conditions to lift or amend EU sanctions, a European Commission spokesperson said on Wednesday.
European Union countries renewed the bloc’s two sanctions frameworks on Russia for another six months at the end of January and earlier this month. Any changes to sanctions require unanimity among its 27 member states.
“The end of the Russian unprovoked and unjustified aggression in Ukraine and unconditional withdrawal of all Russian military forces from the entire territory of Ukraine would be one of the main preconditions to amend or lift sanctions,” the spokesperson said.

How is it that Euroweenies have input?
EU sends Russia more money for energy than they send Ukraine for defense. Their words ring hollow.
Good luck with that lol.
More like Ukraine 50 percent Russian by next year.
And losers will still be posting for z and making 5 dollars an hour. :)

‘ How is it that Euroweenies have input?’
How is that consistent with the argument that it’s not our problem, it’s Europe’s problem?
Can’t have it both ways.
Great morning laugh.
Thx Maxipad
It looks like nobody is serious about talks to end the war. I just hope Trump doesn’t get fooled into books on the ground.
Regardless of what may happen to stop the shooting, this is the right course. The West should maintain maximum economic sanctions on Russia unless and until it withdraws to pre-invasion lines. No reason to be friendly with a neighbor that isn’t, and certainly no reason to aid the Russian economy in recovering from the war .
A prescription for war that will not end until Ukraine is consumed.
Next dumb question, please.
Yep.
Well, they do at least run their own countries, and have no obligation to have economic relations with a militarily aggressive neighbor.
Now, I'm sure the pro-Russian crowd will say that Europe needs Russia more than Russia needs Europe, and that this will somehow strengthen Russia and weaken Europe. In which case, any who support Russia should support this and hope that it happens.
They gave Ukraine like 6 dollars and 12 cents..
So they can now make demands 😂
Just because the shooting ends is no reason for third parties to resume normal economic relations with Russia. They are perfectly free to ostracize Russia if they so choose, without firing a shot.
Well, EU, put your money where your mouth is.
We have a precondition that the EU stuffs a sock in its piehole
By the way that they talk you would think Europe wasn’t a collection of America. proxy states.
So now the euroweenies are throwing hay to sabotage peace negotiations?
It won’t end well for them...or the king of it himself in uke.
