Nike is still struggling.
The iconic shoe company just reported a shocking sales collapse that has fans worried about the store's future.
It's a bleak update in a saga that has seen arguably America's most legendary athletic fashion brand struggle to put popular products on its shelves.
'To me it seems that the only thing Nike has going for them is brand image to justify outrageous prices,' one customer recently complained on Reddit.
'$200 for a sneaker? Yeah right.'
Nike's sales dropped 9 percent, a staggering $1.16 billion fall in the value of shoes, tracksuits, and t-shirts.
Executives said the slowdown was likely because Chinese consumers are cutting back on spending. There are several reasons for Nike's struggles.
For years, conservatives have criticized Nike for its partnerships with political activists and athletes, such as Colin Kaepernick, who protested during the national anthem, viewing it as a shift toward 'woke' culture.

Is $200 the average price of a pair of Nike sneakers or is it for a special model? I have never owned Nike so I don’t know.
A special model.
Never owned anything by Nike and never bought any Nike brand stuff (new OR used) for my kids when they were growing out of clothes faster than I could keep them dressed! ;)
They’ve always been ridiculously over-priced, use slave labor, etc.
I’m thinking tragic warehouse fire. Just Do It!
We have bought Nike shoes in the past, but no more.
they sell it at wal mart at 75% off
It won’t stop the Oregon Ducks from buying the best High School and NIL Transfer players. The best College football Team money can buy, and they still can’t win it all.
I guess there weren’t enough trannies to buy the cute outfits Dylan Mulvaney was modeling.
No one wants fag rags…
Ghetto rats will pop a cap in your *** to steal them off your feet. So if they are worth killing for, they must be worth buying.
I'll stick to New Balance or Converse, on the other hand.
I don’t buy anything from Nike.
“I’m thinking tragic warehouse fire.”
Probably that’s an option being considered by TPTB at Nike. Of course they’re insured.
Get Colin Kaepernick out of hibernation and use him to sell your junk again, that would be a sure fire winner!
I live in a very red commumity, around 10-1. Also spend a lot of time in the gym.
Pre-Kapernick (sp?) Nike apparel was everywhere. I myself had shoes, socks, shirts etc. There’s an outlet store nearby.
Now you hardly see any. Most, including myself, wouldn’t be caught dead in wearing Nike.
Spitting in their own customers’ faces was an incredibly stupid thing to do.

When scanning the yahoo news briefs, (after signing out of email), I have noticed in recent years that the Ducks must have at least a half dozen football uniform designs. The fashionistas of the NCAA it appears. And it translates into more sales I suppose.
Nike stock price 3/22/25 $68
No stock splits to account for that price change.
” The fashionistas of the NCAA it appears. And it translates into more sales I suppose”
More so that Billionaire (36 billion) Phil Knight, founder and majority shareholder of Nike is a graduate of Oregon and with his and other donors money makes that a non issue for the Oregon Athletic Dept.
Not so cool anymore? 😁
