A reporter for NPR has been driven into hiding after being named by MAGA supporters as the person who hit President Donald Trump in the face with a microphone.
Danielle Kurtzleben, a political correspondent for the government-funded outlet, was named as the journalist who allegedly hit Trump in the face with a boom mic during a press conference last week, according to independent journalist Laura Loomer.
Loomer, a staunch Trump fan, identified Kurtzleben on Sunday in a post on X, suggesting she may have hit the president on purpose.
'I have identified the reporter who hit President @realDonaldTrump in the face with a boom mic this week while he was speaking to the press on the tarmac,' Loomer wrote.
'Her name is Danielle Kurtzleben @titonka. She is the newly appointed White House reporter for @NPR and a massive Trump hater and LGBTQ advocate who once suggested during the 2024 campaign that Trump only spoke in Howell, Michigan because it has ties to the KKK.
'Did she hit President Trump in the face on purpose?,' Loomer speculated.
Loomer's tweet has been viewed nearly 7 million times - and triggered hundreds of other Trump fans to also speculate about Kurtzleben's alleged involvement.
After being named, Kurtzleben made her X account private and has not spoken about the situation.

As I understand it SHE was the one who asked Trump the question abt Why he visited the city where the KKK did something and Trump said, “who was here in 2021? And the answer was BIDEN”? Anyone remember where that was?

So why is she being allowed to "hide", and why have the Capitol Police or the U.S. Secret Service not publicly identified her?

She wasn’t forced into hiding, it was her personal choice. Did she ever even offer up an apology? Perhaps that would be a nice gesture, of course I expect she would never even consider doing that.
Intentional or not it was a minor tap that could probably be considered as ‘counting coup’. All she really did was put herself in the crosshairs one way or another. Should something bad happen to her, consider a false flag operation before drawing any other conclusions.
Could have just publicly apologized saying it was an accident at it won’t happen again and it’s over, but noooooo gotta make Waaaay more out of it. Jeez people get ze grip!!!
I’m willing to bet this reporterette is totally cool with the politicized judge who ordered the identities of the DOGE workers to be revealed.
Is a President being hit in the face with an extended boom mic something that happens frequently, or at least once in a while? Or is it so exceedingly rare an occurrence as to never have happened within anyone’s contemporary memory, and thus most likely to have been instead, a purposeful slight upon a President that this journalist hates?

I understand that this reporter is “reportedly” a biased reporter, that aside, looking at the picture balancing the microphone at the end of the boom can present problems—so for her hitting the president, I will call that accidental. As for her bias, that is another matter altogether.
