But will it play DOOM?

If it doesn't play DOOM, it's not a true PC.

I don't want AI at all. When I've asked AI if someone is a retard, it nags at me
saying that is not appropriate question. It truly is 1984 Big Brother.

Doesn’t matter. With AI it will eventually decide that your skills are deficient and will take over game play for you and not let you back in like a mean older brother.

Heck, I saw a camera (Cannon DSLR IIRC) running Doom 20 years ago.

Oregon Trail.
And finding a PC that can play it is difficult since XP went away.
Thinking of loading XP on a old laptop just so I can give the cubs the joy of learning how it felt to die from dysentery.

So I read the article and still can’t figure out want an “AI PC” does for me that a regular old PC doesn’t do. Near the bottom the author wrote “If you’re someone like Couvert, who does a lot with AI...”
That doesn’t help one bit. WHAT is Couvert doing, exactly?

WTF. No mention of IBM anywhere? I've heard they had something to do with the "evolution of the PC"....

Uh, nice history.
Where’s the Altair (s/w provided by galactic a**hole Billy Gates and his nice guy buddy Paul Allen), Imsai 8080 (great for blinking lights), and of course, the Apple I, released in summer of ‘76. Eventually outsold all the others.
Trash 80 was actually a great little computer, BTW. People made fun of it, but it ran BOS and could actually DO things.

And what if someone does NOT want ANY of those things and will NEVER use them?
If someday soon, all computers and laptops will be crammed full of this useless, to some, garbage, then if these are the ONLY way to have a computer/laptop, that person is paying for unwanted and never used functions. WHAT A RIPOFF!
