Everyone: Remember, if your government disarms you, and this happens, the only recourse you will have is to record it all with your phone.

When was your first clue that being a Christian in Syria was not a good idea?

To: Red Badger
Everyone should google “Timber Sycamore” to understand how corrupt the US Deep State, and its supposed allies in Israel and the Mid-east, are.

syria is a shithole country, and horrifically awful things happen in shithole countries ... however, the United States of America is NOT the world’s police department, especially for shithole countries ... we should be involved in foreign affairs ONLY to protect and support our STRONG allies like Israel and Taiwan, and/or protect vital strategic positions that DIRECTLY affect our economy, such as keeping vital sea lanes and canals free of pirates and usurpers ...

= = =
Actually, being a Christian ANYWHERE is a GOOD idea; better than good, it is Eternally good.
Meanwhile, in Syria being a Christian is like Christians in the New Testament - persued and executed.
I do not wish that for them. Can they escape?
Will this same situation come for me in this ‘safe’ USA?

The CIA and State and Tel Aviv must be popping champagne. ISIS finally took over Syria and established a Sunni dictatorship.

Probably not. Too many armed Christians, those who bought "swords" and their families. The nightmare will occur when the Christians leave (rapture), and those who try to follow Jesus afterward will have to follow to the death the Way that Jesus trod.

“GRAPHIC WARNING: Up to 17,000 Slaughtered in Syria as World Remains Silent”
If “the world remains silent,” then why was I able to find many reports of the slaughter published by Reuters, NPR, Wash Post, Newsweek, etc.?

When was your first clue that being a Christian in Syria was not a good idea? And yet Christianity survived for 2000 years in Syria, Iraq, and even had a majority in Lebanon - until the mid 20th century. It took the neocons, Bush and especially Obama/Biden, to turn the genocide of Christians into overdrive.

    Arabs killing Arabs? Who knew?
From WIKI:
Alawites[b] are an Arab[17][18] ethnoreligious group[19] who live primarily in the Levant region in West Asia and follow Alawism.[20] A sect of Islam that splintered from early Shia as a ghulat branch during the ninth century,[21][22][23] Alawites venerate Ali ibn Abi Talib, the “first Imam” in the Twelver school, as a manifestation of the divine essence.[24][25]
