Later in the article, ""All of these individuals sit in the same shoes as Mr. Kohberger," the defense wrote in their filing, which had the investigator's testimony redacted from its pages. "Thus, Mr. Kohberger's inconclusive LR is similar to almost every other person for whom an LR was generated and focusing on his 'inconclusive' LR would mislead the jury."
What does LR stand for?

Likelihood Ratio.
Means it could be him or maybe not.
DNA in real life does not work the way it is shown on TV.

I’ve searched and searched that article for an original explanation of those initials but it’s just not there. I wish this whole using initial thing would stop, I’m constantly looking up initialized things.
I just don’t know if Likelihood Ratio would be it? Maybe?

I wonder if the other two DNA samples under the nails are from the other roommates that were murdered.

I guess that’s it. I was thinking legal rights just guessing. Why they expect everyone to know this I have no idea.

Don't know.
They seem to indicated that they have a couple of other people who are just as likely to be one of the scratched as he is.

Before using initials a phrase is supposed to be spelled out to introduce the reader to the subject being discussed but that would require educating American students and we all know that education is the product of the white mans racism.

Yes. It’s a badly written article.
Whoa! That is some in depth stuff there. I am reading it, thank you.

I only chose it because it fit the post about mixed DNA, and it uses the term ‘Likelihood Ratio’ in that context.
The lazy ‘journalist’ you questioned just took a short quote without bothering to explain what it meant.

How old is that DNA?
How long does it stay under fingernails?
Did she play sports, do makeup or hair for friends, act as a greeter for a gathering, etc.?

Can you say “reasonable doubt”?
I can.

Have the other two been identified, or is it just DNA without a suspect?
To: Harmless Teddy Bear
Likelihood Ratio. “Means it could be him or maybe not.”
Equals reasonable doubt if I ever saw it.
How many reasonable doubts do you need? (1). Now we have at least (2).
