The Polish prime minister has said the government is preparing to introduce “military training” for all adult males in the country and that the initiative should be ready “by the end of the year”.
Donald Tusk told parliament on Friday that if Russia took control of parts of Ukraine, then Poland would find itself in a “difficult geographical situation”.
He said: “We are preparing large-scale military training for every adult man in Poland. Our goal is to finalize the plan by year’s end to ensure a well-trained reserve force ready for potential threats.
“If Ukraine loses the war, or if it accepts the terms of peace, armistice, or capitulation in such a way that weakens its sovereignty and makes it easier for Putin to gain control over Ukraine, then without a doubt—and we will all agree on this—Poland will find itself in a much more difficult geopolitical situation.”
In an address dominated by security, Tusk also said that “Poland must pursue the most advanced capabilities, including nuclear and modern unconventional weapons.
“This is a serious race - a race for security, not for war.”
He also told the house that he had asked the Defense Ministry to initiate Poland's withdrawal from the Ottawa Convention and possibly the Dublin Convention, which ban the use of anti-personnel mines and cluster munitions, respectively, explaining that “faced with a threat Poland will resort to any means necessary.”

Go look at an old map of Europe/Russia. Poland would likely be taking back old territory. Russia also has claims, along with arms, troops and ammunition. This is a no win situation for the war monger west. Am thinking that they are inbred. Britain’s are the ultimate failed war mongers. Yet they keep spawning more war, along with our failed military industrial complex! How many dates do I need to post?
Kiev was the birth place of Russia for history buffs. Russia also defended are coasts during our civil war.
How is this different than an unrequited lover threatening to kill themselves or an overwrought teenager engaging in self harm to gain attention? 🤔
They, and now it is both sides, are trending towards a 3rd world war.
Europe couldn't stand for President Trump to be a force for peace. That's the bottom line in this conflict.
Because mines and cluster bombs have proven to be vital weapons in Ukraine.

The problem is short-sighted narrow-minded people who can't think outside of the box, and are therefore relegated to violence as being the solution to the problem. It hadn't worked up to this point, and it will not work going forth either.

When you begin by bringing violence to a problem, humans will respond appropriately.
If you want something else, you will need to bring magic, and demonstrate it credibly ab initio. “But I promised to do X and you didn’t believe me” is not a reasonable response.

Good on them. I think the Russia histeria is unwarranted, but it is smart to have a ready force.
So, you ignore realties as you always do. Only Russia is responsible in your opinion. Nothing that others did to make the invasion come to pass, has any bearing whatsoever in your opinion.
