Meghan Markle’s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., has slammed the “malarkey stories” she shared about her childhood in her new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan.”
The Duchess of Sussex’s highly anticipated lifestyle series premiered on the platform Tuesday, which saw her share her tips and tricks for hosting at home.
The “Suits” alum, 43, called herself a “latchkey kid” and opened up about her modest childhood to connect with viewers, claiming she “grew up with a lot of fast food and TV tray dinners.”
“It feels like such a different time, but that was so normal with the microwavable kids meals,” Meghan says in the series.
The former working royal added that she often reached for meals from Pollo Loco, Taco Bell and Jack in the Box — a claim she previously made in 2021, when she revealed that she “grew up on the $4.99 salad bar at Sizzler.”
However, the revelation did not sit right with her estranged half-brother, who took aim at Meghan’s attempt at relatability.
“That’s just another one of the malarkey stories she sold to the royal family for sympathy,” Thomas Jr., who hasn’t spoken to the duchess in over a decade, told TalkTV. “We weren’t poor. She didn’t have to rub two nickels together at Sizzler’s salad bar.”
“The entire world knows how she treated her family, especially her father, who gave her everything. That’s why nobody’s buying it,” he added.
Thomas Jr. admitted that while he sat down to watch the show, he soon “realized there’s something better I could be doing with my time.”

So far the gold digger Meghan keeps hitting only pyrite options not looking good.
The Royal Family do not want or accept stories of "rags to riches." While they may respect a person with a heroic story, or they may find such a person useful to them - such a person is still low-born, generally suspect and not suitable for their family.
This kind of Haratio Alger story is purely an American notion.
Having said that - they would have respected Meghan if she "knew her place" as the brassy American actress wife of the 5th in-line to the throne, kept quiet, didn't talk about them publicly, if she didn't embarrass and humiliate them, wasn't a gold-digger and Harry wasn't an utter fool.
Maybe NetFlix can just release the show under the fiction category.
Wow, growing up on restaurant food, salad bars, take-out and ready to heat meals, that sounds well-off to me.

Her father worked for the studios and she spent a lot of time at work with him, watching TV shows be filmed. Most kids would think that was a pretty fun childhood. She also went to a private school.
If Harry wasnt an utter fool, he wouldn’t have looked twice at MeAgain...
