The old time defense was the Atlantic and Pacific allowed the early US to build and grow because we were insulated.

Europe does not have the industrial capacity to fight Russia in a conventional war. They also have just a few hundred nukes. With a shift to a war footing they could in a few years have the arms they need and defeat Russia in a conventional war which would lead to nuclear warfare.

It’s doesn’t work that way. They have to be attacked. If they attack russia they are on their own.
Europe has nukes and a $20 trillion economy. They don’t need the US. A multi polar world is what we want. Right?
China is the only winner in the Ukraine-Russia war. They get to buy Russian gas/oil cheaper than market prices. The west wastes money on funding the war. And China sells drones to both sides.
