Hopefully Russia takes over Ukraine and Europe in order to stop the spread of communism.

Why would Europe need to take their peace plan to Trump?

They can send it directly to Putin and see what happens.

It’s “Their Plan”. Send it to Putin and open Peace Talks.

“a vital step for Washington to be able to offer security guarantees”

not gonna happen ... any “security guarantees” are gonna have to come from Europe ... period ...

After what we saw on Friday there is absolutely no way that the US can provide a security guarantee without risking being drawn into a future Ukraine engineered conflict

Take it to Putin, not us.

Then circle back.

Sounds good to me. Let them negotiate and enforce it.

They want to defend themselves, then they can handle all of it.

But, youll note they need US support?

How many times in my travels over there those Brits told me that they did not want us, they wanted our money.

I have a few comments about this story from Reuters:

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Sunday European leaders had agreed to draw up a Ukraine peace plan to take to the United States, ... European leaders agreed they must spend more on defence to show Trump the continent can protect itself.

Maybe it's just me, but those things seem to be a big contradiction.

Europe is scrambling to ensure that Kyiv is not squeezed out of any talks after Trump's shouting match

Always blame Trump.

"After a long time of underinvestment, it is now of utmost importance to step up the defence investment for a prolonged period of time,"

Yes, it is. Trump has been saying this for a long time and usually gets back nothing but hate.

Europe, which lacks the weaponry and depth of ammunition stocks of the U.S., hopes to convince Trump that it can defend itself

Say what? Contradiction again.

Crucial to getting any agreement from Trump is for European nations to increase defence spending and signal they would take part in any peacekeeping role - something Starmer acknowledged was difficult to get unanimity on.

I'm not sure Putin would accept NATO members in a "peacekeeping role".

Trump has upended U.S. policy on the three-year-old war since he returned to the White House in January,

Well, I guess that's true. Trump offered Zolinski a cease-fire, not a blank check.

Trump had blindsided Europe by calling Putin without warning and sending a delegation to Saudi Arabia for talks with Russia without including Ukraine or Europe.

Uh, yes, but Russia wasn't included in the talks at the White House on Friday either.

I read the entire EU Press Release that Reuters copied word for word and claimed it to be original journalism.

Since I am late in commenting I will forego a sentence by sentence response to what was written.

They weren’t any help these past four years, so why should these Euroweenies be involved now? Sounds like the Little Red Hen story, where the lazy animals sat back and watched the little red hen do all the work, and then wanted a piece of the pie she’d created. Europe has been nothing but a bunch of moochers for well over 100 years. Let them leech off each other from now on.

What a big help: drawing up the plan Zelenskyy wants to drag US lives and resources into war with Russia that he provokes. If they want peace, they are next door and they can handle it.

Tell them they can stick it where the sun don’t shine. Furthermore, we need to quit NATO and bring home all of our military and every piece of equipment that is not nailed down, and burn down all of the rest. No more American forces should ever fight a war on behalf of Europeans. I have two words for them, and those words are not Happy Birthday. Long live President Donald Trump!
