We got the vaccine. Wife had shingles before not the worst case but a nasty disease.
No, I haven’t...
Are there any CNN broadcasters available?
I’m an anti-vaxer and so is my MD.
He prescribes 1 pharmaceutical pill for me and 12 nutritional supplements. We both believe in prevention. In fact, I wrote for a magazine called “Prevention” decades ago did a ton of research. One immune system strengthener is Vitamin C. I’m very small, so take only 500 mg per day. My big, overweight make friend takes three times that much..
Not CNN, but I think Joy Reid is available.
“What’s the general consensus on the Shingles vaccine?”
The problem with the Covid vaccines is they were mRNA made vs. the previous type. mRNA vaccines make every cell they touch turn into a target for the immune system. Therefore, the immune system attacks heart tissue, brain tissue or anywhere the mRNA vaccine happens to contact the body. Thus, they create a manmade autoimmune disease.
I had an aunt die from shingles. My dad also had it very badly and suffered a lot. I got the vaccine. A while later I had what I think is a very, very mild case. I conclude this because the sores appeared in the exact place and pattern of my dad’s bout with the disease. I’m grateful I had the vaccine.
My husband and I actually got the vax. I was working in a clinic at the time and was encouraged to do it. It didn’t affect us adversely, so I guess it was okay, but the Covid vax has made me leery of most vaccines now.
MUST WATCH TV!
i got it- years ago- before covid- didn’t suffer any side effects from it- the shot hurt pretty decently- but other than that no issues- but some people react badly to it i guess-
That's a shame.

Shingles apparently killed Diane Feinstein.
That’s a shame.
Too bad for the Shingles.
Shingles is reactivated chickenpox. The virus you had as a child has been kept in check by your immune system, but is still hiding in your body alongside some nervere bundles.
As you age, your immune system starts to become a little senile and forgets old enemies like chicken pox. This results in a flare up along whatever nerves it’s been hiding out in.
It hurts like hellfire because it’s attacking your nerve endings.
The shingles vaccine wakes up your immune system and reminds it to keep that enemy under control.
Get the shot, unless you have a strong desire to suffer repeated bouts of shingles in your elder years.
I had it a couple years ago on my head. It was bizarrely painful for a few days. I had a public position including some stage stuff at a convention. It was a little embarrassing.
Pfizer has got a shot for that!!!!
Shingles is a pain that defies description. I’ve experienced worse pain, but it is a pain within the nerves themselves. Nothing will stop the stabbing searing shards tearing apart your body where the outbreak(s) may be. Azithromycin and benadryl may help mitigate the length of the shingles attack.
All that being said, it is a self-limiting ailment and most people are over it in 10 days to three weeks. At least that is what I kept telling myself.
ChyNah Virus jab can cause shingles.
Same here - the pharmacy reminded me when the second one was warranted. You only need to have Shingles once to become a believer. Burning pain that is quite unbearable - like dozens of bee stings. I had them on my face years ago and was prescribed a topical cream that eased the pain. I didn’t want them again so got one of the few vaccines I’ve had in my long life...
People can have Shingles on other areas of the body like the back which wouldn’t be easy to cover with topical cream so I don’t know what they do for relief but believe me “relief” is necessary to keep from going nuts!
Indeed it is. Some mutant strain that ran off on its own and started its brand of personal Hell.
Buddy of mine had it in his FACE years ago. Entire right side of his face was swollen and blistered.
Awful
They switched gears when the propaganda stopped working.
Like clockwork
