The Social Security Administration closed two offices this week after the former acting head of the agency resisted the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) attempt to probe SSA’s books.
The closure of SSA’s Office of Transformation and the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity comes as DOGE staffers are now embedded within the agency, following the resignation of former acting commissioner Michelle King, a career federal worker who resigned last week over a disagreement with DOGE’s efforts to access sensitive government records.
“President Trump has mandated the Federal government eliminate wasteful and inefficient offices and the Office of Transformation was a prime example,” Lee Dudek, the new acting commissioner of SSA, said in a statement. “This redundant office was created under the previous administration and we are righting that wrong.”
The Office of Transformation, shuttered on Monday, was responsible for “strategic guidance and oversight of enterprise-wide initiatives, addressing policies, business processes, and systems,” according to SSA’s website.
The Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity, which provided “overall management of the SSA-wide programs of civil rights, equal employment opportunity, harassment prevention, reasonable accommodations, and disability services,” was closed Tuesday for similar reasons.
“Our focus is supporting President Trump’s priorities, which include streamlining functions and prioritizing essential work,” Dudek said in a statement. “Terminating the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity, and reassigning statutory responsibilities performed by this office, advances the President’s goal to make all of government more efficient in serving the American public.”
Federal employees in both offices have been placed on administrative leave, according to SSA.
The Baltimore Banner reports that about 200 employees were working in both offices and that some 140 people in the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity were “terminated.”
SSA did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Sounds important and kinda tranny.
Does the office of Transformation own a yellow Camero?
“Federal employees in both offices have been placed on administrative leave, according to SSA.”
Administrative Leave ≠ Fired.
Does the office of Transformation own a yellow Camero?
BumbleBee was a yellow Volkswagen Bug.
Cry me a river...
Another case of where the headline contradicts the article.
Was it multiple offices or just two?
And were they FIRED or placed on “administrative leave”?
Typical very crappy “journalism” these days.
He was a Camaro in Bayverse Transformers.
Does the office of Transformation own a yellow Camero?

I picture the office of Transformation was staffed with - well, TRANNIES.
I thought one of the Transformers was a yellow Camero.
It was was....but.....unfortunately, that was before “The Woke” took over the world. /s
Lee Dudek, acting SSA commissioner: “They operated under
the previous administration; we are righting that wrong.”
Biden’s abominable “Office of Transformation,” demeaned strategic guidance and
oversight of enterprise initiatives, debasing policies, business processes, and systems.
Biden’s putrid Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity, destroyed SSA’s civil rights, equal employment opportunity, harassment prevention, reasonable accommodations, and disability services.
And if that ain’t enough to make you flip your lid
There’s one more thing, (basso profundo) I got the pink slip, daddy
I hope this doesn’t lead to further delays in getting help with my benefits. My average wait on hold is over six hours, no matter when I call.
I’m concerned that some of these employees being let go will mean further pain and irritation to the average citizen just trying to deal with the government, or simple things like go camping in the woods and all the rangers have been fired.
> strategic guidance and oversight of enterprise-wide initiatives, addressing policies, business processes, and systems,
What?
Too many customer facing cutbacks could piss off the voters and people who actually use the services. I don’t want to wait 6 hours on the phone for a 10 to 15 minute call either.
This saving page list all the places they are shuttering besides a ton of other stuff. Transparent as hell.

The “essential” work being done in the privacy of their own homes or on the golf course.
Believe me, Sir_Ed, these people being let go were not the ones who would have answered your call anyway. They are redundant offices within a department. Their job was designed to make federal employees and gum up the works for people like you and me.
