At least we should know what their partisanship is.
Unfortunately enough people will do that. We definitely need more information about them. And I wonder how many would really read it or look it up if it were provided.
I wonder about that.
Justice in principle is blind. I reality not so much

No! My research is all online. It’s often not hard to discern their political persuasion.
No just ask it politely. If he chooses to not answer, then apparently he is not seeking your vote.
You are there seeking to know about him, you do not want come off as demanding an answer or else. Then you just might find yourself before him, if he is elected, pretty soon afterwards. 🤣
Yep, take the time to do brief backgrounds and it usually says where they went to college (Harvard, Yale, Columbia are auto NOs), then what groups they sponsor (ie. autob on society, NO), and who appointed them (dem Gov’r-NO)
Really? Here in East TN they are low-profile races. It’s hard to find anything about their judicial philosophy. They run without party ID.
There should not be any scandals involving the judge, and if they made a ruling on a controversial matter, it must be a ruling with which I can agree.
That is kind of shallow, but it is the best I can do with the almost non-existent information accessible about the "qualifications" of the judge.
A very basic internet search on the judge's name will provide the information I need.
Trials are public, so you should be able to watch the judge's judicial temperament and style.

Very good sound instruction, tell that to the poster of this thread who is seeking advice. 🙂👍
Oh I agree wholeheartedly. In the old days the newspapers usually did some of that, without bias. But no more fo sure.
Oh, I do agree. The RICO Act would be extremely successful if used against them. After all, though meant for organized criminals like the MAFIA, many prosecutors have used it against business due to the organization.
Government is generally “organized”, don’t ya think?
