Fox News’ Mark Levin delivered an implicit rebuke of President Donald Trump’s rhetoric about the ongoing war between Russian and Ukraine on Wednesday, debunking a series of false and misleading claims made by the president.
On his radio show, Levin delivered a history lesson on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s rise to power and various crimes, while going to bat for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“People claim to be speaking for you, who are not speaking for you, who are in the media, who are in other positions and so forth,” he continued. “Zelensky ordered martial law — that’s what the constitution there compelled. Zelensky hasn’t called for an election — that’s what the constitution there compels. Now, I’m waiting for the first free election for Vladimir Putin. I mean, this is almost comical in a sick way that Putin is demanding an election. Why is he demanding an election in Ukraine when he doesn’t have free and real elections in his own country? And why does he-, why does he get to call the shots when in fact, he murders people who dare to challenge him?”
“This is what we’re dealing with. Again, old KBG, and not just KBG, he [Putin] was in like Flynn with the Stasi in East Germany. So, I don’t know why there are people that not only oppose Zelensky, but seem to support Putin,” said Levin, attributing said position to a handful of pseudo-intellectuals” pushing “policies that in many ways are un-American in my view, and policies that if they had espoused these policies not that long ago, people would have wondered if they were on the take, or who they’re working for, something like that. Not that they are, but they would wonder.”

Levin used to be an anti-Trump stooge. He used to call anyone who questioned Obama’s Birth or his citizenship a KOOK. Levin thinks Wong Kim Ark is settled law when it comes to birthright citizenship. He says Wong Kim Ark is a natural born Citizen.
Something I heard somewhere before that war began was that Putin has planned his retirement. What he saw going on with Ukraine and the west actually has postponed it.
He wasn’t going to leave when what he saw was a real threat to Russia was right in front of him.
People wondered and marveled why he took the bait to enter Ukraine. He was going to end it once and for all.
The New York Times ran polls and Americans were 2:1 against involvement in WW2 even when the Nazis were on the march across Europe.
Once the Nazis took France and started bombing England, and also with the increased threat from Japan, that started to change.
It’s KGB, Mark…
I’m torn here because I feel Ukraine should be a defensible American position that was botched horribly (if not outright started) by American interference.
That said, I don’t know how you fix anything without going to either extreme of abandonment or doubling down on the war and I’ll go with the former as the saner alternative.
Mark should scream this message over and over and over and over and over on his Sunday night Fox timeslot.
The New York Times ran polls and Americans were 2:1 against involvement in WW2 even when the Nazis were on the march across Europe.
Also since WWI was such a cluster you-know-what.
I wish Mark Levin would show up here (again) and answer what’s Un-American about it? The very Founding fathers of the US had a similar policy. “Entangling alliances” they called it?

When Levin goes off the deep end, he goes all the way. Who can forget how he ragged on the Trump campaign the first time around?
Levin was all in on bashing Trump in 2015 and 2016 and he can go to hell.
Levin’s a loud mouthed turd-sniffer. He even screams in his books which makes them too annoying to bother with.
Is Mark on the take?
“Levin was the original anti-Trumper.”
I have NOT forgiven him for that. Havent watched or listened to him since 2016ish and I wont.
Yes, he’s talented and sometimes there is no one better then him BUT he jumped on the MAGA train way after it was too late in the game.
This entire thread is filled with nonesense.
The war is also nonsensical also, as well as the entire region and our relations with Ukraine and Russia, but here we are.
This is my first hint that Levin may be the recipient of USAID money.
I always enjoy hearing Levin’s perspective. But I think sometimes he strays into the land of hyperbole and it undermines his argument.
Levin came of age during the Cold War and served in the Reagan admin. Thus, I completely understand his disdain for Putin, a Soviet Cold Warrior serving the KGB.
But we aren’t sending Putin military aid and claiming to support a democracy. We are sending it yo Ukraine claiming to support a democracy which hasn’t been one in sometime.
I can only take Mark in VERY small doses....like 3 minute soundbites.
I didn't buy his 11th hour conversion from globalism to populism and I see that I was right.
"Biden was never in control of the Ukraine operation. This is something that started within the U.S. State Department (CIA division) long before Biden was installed. President Trump is now having to deal with a geopolitical consequence that comes from this collaborative IC operation that is obviously no longer exclusive to the USA. Other intelligence agencies are now too far enmeshed to safely retreat."
The Russian Derangement Syndrome is a disease, much like the Trump Derangement Syndrome- both started by Democrats.
With all due respect, that's a crazy interpretation.
How often in history does the leader of a nation winning a major war then get deposed when the war is concluded?
Meanwhile, which country has a nazi battalion?
