Elon Musk considers 'DOGE dividend' that would send $5,000 check to all Americans following massive budget cuts

Musk replied, curious, but said that he 'will check with the President.'

Fishback added: 'American taxpayers deserve a 'DOGE Dividend': 20% the money that DOGE saves should be sent back to hard-working Americans as a tax refund check.'

'It was their money in the first place! At $2 trillion in DOGE savings and 78 million tax-paying households, this is a $5,000 refund per household, with the remaining used to pay down the national debt. Elon Musk, let's do this! This is how we rebuild trust in our government.'

Obliterating the Deep State and draining the swamp will accomplish the goal of govt not being Santa.

Until then, it’s a money laundering crime syndicate

Stupid and inflationary.

Just apply it to the debt.

Even a token payment on the debt would be a huge psychological and political victory.

Get the debt clock to slow down and then stop: It will be seen as a miracle.

I’d rather every penny the Musk-eteers find go against the debt. Pay that off. Then go to a flat sales tax. Let’s not burden another generation with our stupidity.

I would agree with you if DOGE / Trump was able to go back and collect past overpayments and fraud.. then we’d be talking 10s of Trillions and debt repayment would be in order, because tens of trillions sitting in a reserve would be plundered by the next Democrat or RINO administration.

However, I think the real savings from DOGE will be future outlays that won’t have to be sow t because we fixed the leak.

It’s like finding a burst water main pipe in your back yard and realizing thousands of gallons of water have been leaking for decades and you’ve been paying for it - you’re not going to get that water back - the benefit of fixing the leak is future savings.

If DOGE can get a Trillion $ of actual cash back from this audit I’ll be amazed - but assuming they can - that amount will not be available for debt repayment or tax refunds - it will be offset by the current deficit - at best we will finally not have a deficit in 2025.

Again, if I’m wrong and DOGE winds up with $10 trillion cash, I agree it should not be put in a reserve for future administrations to plunder.
