A former child star in South Korea, Kim Sae-ron, has died at the age of 24, according to reports.
The actress who appeared in “Bloodhounds” on Netflix, among other projects, was found dead Sunday at her home in Seoul, South Korea, according to Korean media outlets. Reuters confirmed her death with police.
She was discovered at her home by a friend. Her cause of death was not immediately clear, but police do not suspect foul play.
DUI derailed her career in 2022. She took a hiatus from acting...
South Korean media reported that hefty fines from the DUI incident left her with financial troubles for the final two years of her life.
Prior to her death, she was beginning to restart her acting career and was set to star in “Guitar Man” later this year.

It is probably wrong of me to make this judgment, but I’m guessing that she had hefty substance abuse problems, and the DUI crash was just the tip of the iceberg.

Valid argument.
Even in the 80s, it could be assumed that heavy drinkers stopped there...and there was usually enough for it to end badly if it didn’t stop after decades!! Or one bad acccident.
Studies nowadays state that 10 to 30 percent (big range, I know) of heavy drinkers use the harder drugs (coke, meth, etc)

Yep. I loved the movie “The World of Suzie Wong”. Holden and Kwan did a great job.

The film
The Man from Nowhere (2010) was a huge hit in South Korea.
If you like bloody shoot em up revenge movies , this one is pretty good.
To: BenLurkin
Probably suicide. Sexual abuse in Korean film is as common as Hollywood.
