Shut the government down for a month. See if anyone notices.

The GOP_e in the Senate lead by little Lindsey (Swish-SC) is simply re-arranging the deck chairs of the budget

President Trump is going to have to rely on the US House to do all the heavy lifting via Reconciliation go get around the promised Democrat Senate filibuster

$300B if a bunch of mansions in the Palisades gets burned, but suffer a onesy-twosy house fire everywhere else in the country and no such luck.

That is approximately $1,000 for every man, woman and child in the country. Approximately $3,000 for every taxpayer.

How can that be fair or right?

Gop only cares about spending when they don't have power in congress.

Deficits and debt will continue to expand to destroy us all. Without massive cuts to the Four Horsemen of spending, SSI, medicare, medicaid and dod, nothing will get fixed.

Wary of it...if it wasn’t for Trump’s veto it would be a given!!

There’s no majority of CONSERVATIVES in either chamber.

Rs yes. Cs, no. Big difference.

They dont have the stomach for it but they better find it.

Rand is right to be wary. The RINOs love their pork.

Steve Bannon is saying pretty much the same thing as Rand Paul.

Namely, forget about what will be spent in the next 10 years. No, look at how much will be spent in 2025.

Also, we need to keep in mind that only 100 GOP House Members have joined the new DOGE caucus.

Why haven’t the other 120 GOP House Members joined?

I like Rand, but he’s been in the Senate a while. He should know politics. It’s not enough to tilt at windmills like Don Quixote.

What is he doing about it, besides throwing rocks? Who is he aligned with, and why not Trump? Stop Lindsey Graham and make sure he has nothing to do but rearrange furniture.

It’s as if Donald Trump is, single-handedly, trying to remake the Republican Party and the Republicans are just waiting for him to be gone.

To replace 16,000 California houses with 16,000 Florida million-dollar houses is $16 billion.

Maybe a California senator might resign and Newsom can appoint a Republican picked by Trump.

It will be completely acceptable because they have an “R” behind their names. Only the democrats are not allowed to do this...

So proud that he’s one of my Kentucky Senators. The other one (McConnell), not so much.

He is right. Most old-school Republicans and all Democrats love to spend other peoples’ money.

I have gone back to WA DC to lobby my congressional delegation a number of times. They view big spending as a way to “buy the allegiance of and election support” of many special interest groups. It is an embedded part of the WA DC culture and will take time to change without voter support.

This is why Trump needs to use the Bully Pulpit to show the voters that waste that is happening with their tax money and that a new accountability to coming to town. He needs to get voters to call their Senators and Congress person to support wasted and fraud elimination. House and Senate elected officials and their staff need to understand that voters want efficiency, less government and will vote out anyone who gets in the way of what Trump is doing.

“I’d gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today” - J. Wellington Wimpy in the old Popeye comic strip.

These Big Government Republicans are always going to “tackle the budget” and “make the hard choices” next year. Meanwhile we keep getting deeper in debt.
