22-year-old Hazel has lived in the US her whole life, but since Trump’s election she’s been considering leaving her native Texas. “I don’t feel safe being myself in the United States,” she says.
Hazel, who is trans, has witnessed transphobia permeate mainstream US politics for years. But with Trump back in the White House, it seems unlikely that the situation will improve. “I can’t get my gender marker changed to reflect my true self,” she says, referring to the State Department’s refusal to issue new US passports with “X” gender markers and the ongoing suspension of processing all applications from citizens seeking to update their passport’s gender marker. “I’m at a loss for what to do right now,” she says. “All I want is to feel safe and not live in constant fear.”

When I was on vacation last summer, I saw an older male parading around as a female at the hotel swimming pool, probably in his late 50’s. Had to wear a wig to cover the bald spot on his head. It was just so obvious, and as usual, he was trying wayyyy too hard to pretend he was a woman. I felt sorry for his kids and grandkids, who weren’t there, but who he was talking about very loudly. Fake boobs but still had his man parts. So gross. I just stay away from people like that, as best as I can. They’re insane.

Bad as any day they may face right here in the United states may be, it is vastly better than just about anywhere else in the world. At one time, some of the “evolved souls” thought of exotic destinations like Tibet, or India, or perhaps the jungles of South America, but alas, they were badly disappointed in that they were not accepted there either, once their trust fund money ran out, or they offended the stoic residents of those localities beyond endurance when they fell into begging, and ended up starving or beaten to death.
I don’t think Jenner feels that Trump being elected makes him ‘unsafe’.
