Hello fellow Freepers. This is the "𝐏𝐨𝐩-𝐔𝐩 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬© - #JudgeWatch Permanent Thread". It will differ from a standard ping list. Ping lists, when a new article is posted that is in the ping list's interest, you'd be pinged to the article.
This is different. It will serve as a one-stop shop to identify reckless and out-of-control members of the judiciary. You will also find links to articles about their overreaching actions.
The first Judge that really caught my eye was Judge Paul Engelmayer, who ruled that no member of DOGE -- or even the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, may access the records OF HIS OWN DEPARTMENT or EVEN ENTER ANY TREASURY BUILDING. To my mind, this would be a lot like banning Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth from all military records, bases and facilities.
He also ruled that any records possessed by a cleared- and vetted DOGE team must be destroyed -- IN DIRECT CONFLICT WITH THE LAW PERTAINING TO GOVERMENT RECORDS.
So, come on the thread, add links to any articles about existing or emerging 𝐏𝐨𝐩-𝐔𝐩 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬© and any analysis on why their actions are overreaching, unconstitutional, and illegal.
Freeper kiryandil was kind enough to assemble some information below on six of the 𝐏𝐨𝐩-𝐔𝐩 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬©. It is provided below. I make no representation to its accuracy, but I suspect it is on-point.
See the post above, this short list might be useful for you to leverage in your writing.
HHS which has control over the following agencies/departments.
Reminder, not one single judge whom the House impeaches will be convicted.
Not one. You need 67 in the Senate, and I would guess that in the best of all worlds with a “GOP” majority you’d still need 70 GOP to get 67 GOP votes to remove.
So all this would be is symbolic. I don’t mind it. Wouldn’t hurt, but it would be of utterly no value in the real world.
