Lefties are passing around this 'Economic Blackout' scheduled for Feb 27, brought to you by "The Peoples Union." I think I will delay some purchases, online and in person, for that date. :D

Thursday February 27th from Midnight till Friday The 28th Midnight
(A full 24 hours of the 28th)
12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
WHAT NOT TO DO:
Do not make any purchases
Do not shop online, or in-store
No Amazon, No Walmart, No Best Buy
Nowhere!
Do not spend money on:
Fast Food
Gas
Major Retailers
Do not use Credit or Debit Cards for non essential spending
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Only buy essentials of absolutely necessary
(Food, Medicine, Emergency Supplies)
If you must spend, ONLY support small, local businesses.
SPREAD THE MESSAGE
Talk about it, post about it, and document your actions that day!
WHY THIS MATTERS!
~ Corporations and banks only care about their bottom line.
~ If we disrupt the economy for just ONE day, it sends a powerful message.
~ If they don't listen (they wont) we make the next blackout longer (We will)
This is our first action.
This is how we make history.

The 24 Hour Economic Black Out Begins.

Finally, the one working cashier at Walmart won’t have a line!
We had to take the train to the Seattle airport.
I needed some small bills to pay the fare so I put a $20 into the machine. Out flowed 20 Susan B Anthony’s. I had no good means to carry them

They try this clown crap constantly. No one pays any attention. It an infantile notion by a bunch of petulant children
Good advice. Stock up on essentials, including meds, while there is time.
We’ll make sure that the cars and gas can’s are full also.

It never does.
It's no more disruptive than a winter storm knocking out power for a day and closing schools and businesses.
The weather isn’t helping either.
Perhaps that’s a blessing in disguise.
I think they seriously overestimate their numbers, their support and their economic might.
Good luck with that. Most people won’t do it. Americans don’t like to deny themselves.

Are they sending a ‘powerful message’ say, on Christmas Day when most things are closed? How about Thanksgiving Day? New Years Day? Any of the made-up ‘Federal’ holidays?
No one asked me! I’m an expert on NOT spending EVERY day of the year. Pretty sure the economy has survived without me. ;)

There seem to be TWO websites that are pretty closely aligned. There is one WITH an ‘s’ and one WITHOUT. The one without the ‘s’ must be where they launder funds back to the DNC. *SMIRK*
Corporations really only care about quarterly numbers. I doubt they will even notice a 1 day variation. Especially since the purchases will likely be made within a few days.
Thanks for the heads up. I am plotting a car trade and am ready to deal so will schedule it for the 28th. Will also plan our by-monthly general shopping for the same day.
