No way that song (or any song for that matter), is bigger than “These Boots are Made for Walkin’” by Nancy Sinatra.

Final Sopranos episode gave it a whole new level of exposure.

(Hope Journey didn’t get screwed on royalties.)

Most of the world likes boring, sissy garbage, so this make sense. For full disclosure, I don’t mind the song, but don’t consider it great. One step above a Harlequin Romance Novel.

I know the guy who wrote it. His Dad gave him the advice when he was ready to quit the biz.

And let’s not forget “All Out of Love” by Air Supply.

I really did try to say that with a straight face.

I remember when it came out. It was fine.

After two months of hearing it on every radio and jukebox, I never wanted to hear it again.

Wow, Greatest song of all time? I would have gone along with most over played song of the early 80’s. I would slap the radio buttons so fast if that song came on. Any other station was better than the one playing that. My 67 mustang had those old radio buttons. In 81. I would take Start me Up by the stones.

Wasn't that song the anthem for one of Bill Clinton's campaigns? I remember hearing it performed by the cast of "Glee". It seemed they sang it every other month. 🙄
