A USAID worker said Monday that office employees scrambled to hide anything "incriminating" when the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) came knocking.

DOGE is not a government agency but has been tasked by the White House’s executive office with dismantling wasteful spending initiatives, and "special government employee" Elon Musk's most recent target is the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

"DOGE was in the building. We started -- we took down our Pride flags, we took down- I took out any books I felt would be incriminating," Kristina Drye, a speechwriter for USAID, said. "No one was talking. We heard they started taking transcripts automatically of all of our Google Meets."

Reportedly USAID was donating to US political campaigns. And - no surprise - 97% of USAID's political donations went to Democrats.

Are Republicans in Congress all brain-damaged? They've been rubber-stamping funding for an Executive Branch agency which actively works against Republicans, and they've been doing so since the Kennedy administration, when USAID was formed.

Because good people chose to do nothing. Ask yourself, why are these buracies and institutions so liberal/left/progressive?

Our own failure to actually be involved and encourage our people to be involved in government or work within these agencies.

This can all get cleaned out, but it won’t last unless WE take those positions and fill out those roles that have been vacated. Right now we have top-down happening, but 6 months from now we need to fill those bottom level roles in government.
