-Find runaways, take them to their homeless camp under false pretense, rape them for days in exchange for payment, give them drugs to feel better after being put down for so long, turn them out onto the streets to earn their next fix and a meal.

I have not heard RFK, Jr. address the issue. I’ll be more than shocked if he is not completely on this. I need to do some research on his past rehabilitation proposals.
But, to each his own.

They hate working ppl more than anyone else. The people with jobs, houses and worthwhile lives “make them feel bad” about themselves.
Yes, you own a home, have an income and are productive just to make them feel bad about themselves. They actually believe that due to the self-absorption they experience from their drug withdrawals. And they HATE YOU for it. They Believe YOU MAKE THEM GO THRU WITHDRAWAL. And they hate you for that.
Some people just want to see the world burn. They need that to make they feel good.
Don’t underestimate evil. It has a values and behavior system all its own.

“Friends” of addicts usually get them to relapse after successful treatment. The very talented Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark was sent to rehab for booze in AZ. But then he started dating a girl he met in rehab who did heroin and pills, and within weeks Clark was found dead in her couch with a fatal combo of alcohol and morphine in his system.
Yeah, that’s the typical case!

Absolutely! How can you tell if an addict is lying? Their lips are moving. And sadly this applies if it’s your brother, your mother, or your favorite uncle. They’ll lie to your face and steal from you if it helps them get a fix.
There are programs that are more successful than others in rehabilitating addicts.
Teen Challenge and New Life for Girls come to mind as successful rehab programs that are Christian (Christ) based. These programs not only offer Christ but also use doctors/medicine and psychologists to help the addict.
Major obstacles to funding successful programs and helping addicts: 1- Anti-Christians in government resistance to Christ based programs; 2 - The addict's willingness to enter a program. 3 - Addicts willingness for follow-up. E.g., church family, NA etc.
How we can overcome these obstacles will dictate how successful our society is in transforming lives bound by addiction.
