The program was meant to help students “[a]nalyze, synthesize, and apply a broad range of theories of, and methodologies for, the critical study of diversity and inclusion, including how diversity and inclusion change in varied historical and social contexts.”
Courses that were a part of the minor included “Gender, Sexuality, and Society,” “Diversity and Security,” and “Gender and Sexuality in History.”

Finally. Some progress.
+1
In the Woody Allen film, “Bananas,” (1971) a fellow employee asks him:
“What would you have been if you finished school?”
Allen answers
“I was in the black studies program. By now I could have been black.”
Eliminated the “minor”…. NOW ELIMINATE ALL THE COURSES AND THEIR PROFESSORS/INSTRUCTORS.
We need to get General Lee’s portrait back up at West Point quickly.
I’ve asked numerous sources “how is diversity a good thing” when being told that diversity is a valuable asset to any organization because “we can learn from other cultures” yet no one can tell me what we learn that is better than how we do things. It’s just an assumption pedaled as something we should all accept and it’s racist to question it.
Gotta love our crack media. They put a picture of a Navy jet on an article about the Air Force.
A small stuffy conference room with some two dozen people who would have rather had root canal and some Black woman droning on about how ‘We're all equal and diversity is our strength’’. After nearly two hours of this tedium I asked the woman "If we're all equal how is diversity our strength?'' She couldn't answer the question.
"If we're all equal how is diversity our strength?"bttt
I saw some of the materials used in the D&I USAFA squadron training. One task involved listing as many G-animals as they could think of. The list of animals provided on the next page was absurd, many perhaps known only to people living in an obscure province in China, or the backwoods of Appalachia. Then it closed by talking about the power of combining diverse perspectives.
As I reviewed the list which contained such popular and widely-known animals as Golden-Crowned Flying Fox and Gomphotherium, I could only shake my head in disgust.
good to see this happening.
I think all who used such studies as credit course to achieve their degree or masters etc, should now h ave to take at their own expense other courses with truth in them, not all this made up feelings and sensitivity stuff that is exactly what the Bible says to steer clear of and guard yourself against.
A DEI degree sure would train an AF Office to do a great job in the AF’s highly technical fields.
When I was in the AF I had all ages, both sexes, and all colors working for me. They either did a good job and performed their duty well or not. Job performance was the only criteria I used.
In one job a new NCOIC was assigned. As a former EMT, I picked up something wasn’t quite right but couldn’t put my finger on what. I sent him to various medical & other consultations. Two of my team decided I was prejudice because he was black. Turns out he had a brain tumor & was sent down to Andrews for medical intervention. BTW, I’m a woman and was non-promoted by a black Colonial that fired all three of his female officers (1st Lt, Major & Lt Col), so I know about prejudice. Was one of the 5% that was asked to come back & was early promote to my next rank.
DEI has no part in the military. The most qualified person for the job (with training) should be utilized. God bless America & our veterans. God protect our military members.
